We stayed at the Dauphine Orleans over 4th of July. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was clean, a little small but adequate for our needs. The bathroom was large and had marble floors. The pool and courtyard area was nice. The free breakfast was a plus. It had the basics of make your own waffles, fresh fruit, sausage, bagels, muffins... certainly enough to start your day. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always asked how we are enjoying our stay. The location was the best. Just a short two block walk to Bourbon St. Close enough, but far enough away from the noise. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an incredible stay at the Dauphine Orleans. Aisha at the front desk was exceptional and helped us in every way to make our experience perfect. She helped arrange for champagne and chocolates to be delivered as well as in room spa treatments. We stayed in the Hermann house and it was absolutely beautiful. The pool and lounge area were fantastic to relax and take a quick dip. We had such a great time in New Orleans and loved coming back to this hotel every night.

I stayed for 4 nights in a king room in the Hermann house area, which is across the (quiet) street from where you check in. The hotel has a fun, eclectic layout of courtyards and old buildings.

The room wasn't huge, but was adequate, since we were out wandering the Quarter most of the time. It even had a jacuzzi tub, if you are into that sort of thing. There was a fridge in the room and a nice sized flat screen. Wifi was free!

The room had a memory foam mattress and crisp white linens. I like very, very soft beds, and while this was better than most hotels, it was a little firmer than I would like.

Continental breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was a decent spread. Breads, fruit, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, juice, and coffee/tea. Enough to get you going, but not a feast. Quality was ok.

One of the best things about the hotel is the location. It sits a block off the heart of Bourbon St., and is a quick walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. But being that close to the "action", it was always very quiet.

Room Tip: Hermann House room was very quiet and very private.

We spent four nights at this delightful hotel after a 7 night cruise to the Western Caribbean. There were 12 of us (a family reunion) in 5 rooms. They put us all on the same floor. Our accommodations were most comfortable. Their breakfast was a great surprise. It was EXCELLENT. The staff was more than helpful. The internet service with a printer and computer in the lobby was VERY HELPFUL. The room was most adequate and the bed was way more comfortable than the one on the ship and the TV was larger. All in all, this was a perfect choice with easy walking to bus routes and French Quarter without the crowds and noise. We highly recommend it. We hope all the same staff is still there on our next visit. They feel like friends.

Room Tip: We loved our king room on the inside on Dauphine - across from the balcony rooms. The view was over...

There were some confusions with the room that was originally booked. We switched rooms three times, but Jarod at the front desk was so pleasant to speak to about our situation and so accommodating to our needs of the perfect room. Everyone from the hotel staff to the bar staff was so pleasant. Thank you for a fantastic stay. I will DEFINITELY book again.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel in June 2013. The Dauphine is a charming hotel near the center of everything but far enough away to enjoy the quiet loveliness of New Orleans. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful which made our stay that much more memorable. We stayed in the historic Hermann House Building where our room was very nicely furnished but a little musty...nothing that bothered us enough to change rooms. The hotel is located at Dauphine and Conti and you'll find the heart of Bourbon Street just one block away. If Bourbon Street isn't your idea of a good time (like us), and you love great food, walk down the street to Louisiana Bistro...you will not be disappointed. The crab cakes are the best we've ever had and our main course of 'Drum Pontchartrain' was amazing...I wanted to go back every night! Dickie Brennan's Bourbon Street was also great, as was Broussard's, but Broussard's has been sold and will be undergoing a facelift both on the interior and on the menu...it will be a different restaurant the next time we go but we have no doubt it will still be delicious. The World War II Museum is a must see and, if you have the time and a car, go to Oaks Alley Plantation, about an hour outside of town.

We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday in New Orleans. We had about 23 there and most all of them stayed at the Dauphine. Everyone was extremely pleased with the rooms and service we had. Special thanks to Kim for all the help she gave us for our surprise party. We would stay there again and highly recommend it.
