With a four day pass from home and our 2 young children, we though long and hard about where we should go. We finally decided on New Orleans and with a little more checking and help from Trip Advisor reviews we decided on B&W Courtyards. I knew I'd made the right choice when I spoke to Rob on the phone to confirm the booking. He was so full of life and enthusiasm on the phone that I know he would be a great help in navigating the culinary and other experiences to be had in this great city,
The B&B is the residential area of Chartres Str and is surrounded by quaint beautifully painted litte houses, The rooms are definitely compact and bijou but nicely decorated. If you want lots of space this is not the place for you! Breakfast was served on magnificent china on a communal table in the dining area. it really felt like you were house guests as Rob, Kevin and even Rob's brother sat and chatted with us. They were a fount of information and entertaining stories and we probably could have sat chatting with them all day but there were tours to be done. We did the Post Katerina Tour and the Plantation tour with "Tours with Isabel" both of which were excellent. We also did a walking tour from the 1850 house on Jackson sq with Lisa Carr which was superlative.
The B&B is nicely situated a stroll from Frenchmen street which is much more pleasant environment to listen to music than Bourbon Str. We saw an excellent three man band called Washboard Chaz - the singer also played the washboard/hotel bell/tin can contraption
