“Love ya, Rob & Kevin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

What can I say that everyone else hasn't? Oh yeah... don't forget to compliment Rob on his tiny a$$ (his words, not mine). I promised to get this into my review when we left last week. We just loved our time with them. I still think I should have called them on election night to make sure we got champagne with breakfast the next morning. Loved having the bottle of sherry on our nightstand for a wee nip before bedtime. Loved Kevin's creations at breakfast. Loved Rob's conversations over breakfast. Loved meeting people from different parts of the country. Loved being welcomed as if we were family. I think that about covers the love-fest at B & W. But Ed would have loved to be able to squeeze a chair in somewhere for reading. The window seat just wasn't quite comfy enough but this was minor compared to the other creature comforts. And DO LISTEN to Rob's recommendations for dining. You don't have to follow them but you should definitely take them into consideration given your budget. We opted for more moderately priced dining places and only one really let us down but that was our fault not Rob's. Love you guys! If you are ever in our neck of the woods, you definitely have a place to hang your hat!!

Room Tip: If you are in the Front Carriage House, make friends with the guests in the Back Carriage House as w...

“Best Birthday Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

My husband surprised me for my 40th birthday by whisking me away to New Orleans and boy did he do his reserach! He booked this absolutely lovely B&B and we won't ever stay anywhere else when we visit NOLA.

Rob and Kevin felt like family by the first day. The breakfast fruit arrangement by Kevin is almost to pretty to eat. And Rob had us rolling on the floor with his hilarious stories around the breakfast table.

They make sure you have a plan for the day (if you're bored in NOLA, you're doing something wrong!). And they have fantastic suggestions for sight seeing, restaurants, etc.

We took advantage of the hot tub (especially since they left us a nice bottle of champagne in the room for my birthday!) and the whole B&B is quaint and beautiful.

It's near Frenchmen Street which is where we like to hang out (Bourbon St...blech!) and while walking around we ran into several neighbors in the area which were as friendly as can be.

Book your next stay at the B&W Courtyard....you'll be glad you did!

“Where to Stay during a Hurricane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We New Yorkers had the good fortune to be staying at the B&W when Hurricane Sandy hit New York. How ironic that we took shelter in New Orleans while our home here was being battered. Rob and Kevin were as always most gracious hosts, going above and beyond the call by encouraging us to stay on in New Orleans in their personal guestroom even after the B&W was fully booked for Halloween. We took advantage of their kindness and will be forever grateful! For 4 days we stayed in the lovely and light Courtyard Room (can't believe in 11 years I have never stayed there before - I thought I had been in every room!) with its cool lime green walls, sky-blue cove ceiling with white medallion surrounding a lovely chandelier with gold shades, enjoying Kevin's morning fruit plates (photo attached). And when they had no more space for us at the B&W, their gorgeously appointed guestroom with brick walls and full length windows with a door to the balcony overlooking the roofs of the city made me wish I could stay forever.

Rob and Kevin helped to distract us and keep our minds off obsessing about the Hurricane with their "Fun Things to Do" list and ever-changing roster of new restaurants to try. On this trip, we visited one of our old favorites Bayona with Kevin (photo) and Rob, and tried a new one with them - Sobou (photo) with its walls spectacularly lined with backlit glass bottles, and artistically arranged and delicious appetizers and "caprese" desert made with slices of panna cotta and mint leaves. K&R also introduced us to Bar Tonique with its daily drink specials and milk punch where we spotted a couple of raccoons in Halloween drag. Restaurant R'evolution also made it to our bucket list this trip - an experience with its 72 page ipad list of 10,000 wines and 7 different Creole style dining rooms. We also hit Ignatius on Magazine, Elizabeth's in the Bywater, Suis Generis (anise-flavored ravioli!) and Maurepas Foods where our favorite mixologist Brad Smith has invented the Peach & the Pig cocktail.

It was with great reluctance that we headed back to New York and the remains of the Hurricane, but that was what will make this trip to the B&W a particularly memorable one for us.

Room Tip: I loved the light, colors and decor of the Courtyard room - and it's right around the corner fro...

“Wedding & Honymoon Booking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

First of all what a Great Place , Rob & Kevin were so Welcoming. Matt & I stayed here 21st October 2012 with Matt s Family. We arrived Quite late well late for Rob & Kevin they were there to Greet us and help with the Rooms. We had a great room believe Rob called it the Black Carriage. Huge king size bed, we got lost in it, it was so big us Brits are only used to little beds, it was so comfortable. Coffee machine & Coffee, Complementary Sherry, and I pod, radio and charger, they have got everything you will need for a fantastic visit. And the Honesty Bar was also a great Touch. Breakfast was also a wow factor, stepping into the large dining room was like stepping onto the Antiques road show. A huge Dark oak dinning table to seat 10, and the Breakfast china was lovely. Kevin is clearly the cook and made some fantastic breakfasts for us all; Home made Belgium waffles with fruit and cream, very pretty fruit starters, fantastic Bread pudding and Apple turnovers, and the homemade Granola was also great. Matt and i got married in New Orleans on the Wednesday, Rob & Kev gave us a bottle of Champagne on ice and 5 Glasses so we can celebrate at the start of our day! Fantastic Gesture above and beyond hospitality. I could go on but its all good, you must try it, if you want Clean, Tentative staff and great Hosts.

Room Tip: Black Carriage is a great room with Whirl pool bath and shower.
