“Best Birthday Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

My husband surprised me for my 40th birthday by whisking me away to New Orleans and boy did he do his reserach! He booked this absolutely lovely B&B and we won't ever stay anywhere else when we visit NOLA.

Rob and Kevin felt like family by the first day. The breakfast fruit arrangement by Kevin is almost to pretty to eat. And Rob had us rolling on the floor with his hilarious stories around the breakfast table.

They make sure you have a plan for the day (if you're bored in NOLA, you're doing something wrong!). And they have fantastic suggestions for sight seeing, restaurants, etc.

We took advantage of the hot tub (especially since they left us a nice bottle of champagne in the room for my birthday!) and the whole B&B is quaint and beautiful.

It's near Frenchmen Street which is where we like to hang out (Bourbon St...blech!) and while walking around we ran into several neighbors in the area which were as friendly as can be.

Book your next stay at the B&W Courtyard....you'll be glad you did!

First of all what a Great Place , Rob & Kevin were so Welcoming. Matt & I stayed here 21st October 2012 with Matt s Family. We arrived Quite late well late for Rob & Kevin they were there to Greet us and help with the Rooms. We had a great room believe Rob called it the Black Carriage. Huge king size bed, we got lost in it, it was so big us Brits are only used to little beds, it was so comfortable. Coffee machine & Coffee, Complementary Sherry, and I pod, radio and charger, they have got everything you will need for a fantastic visit. And the Honesty Bar was also a great Touch. Breakfast was also a wow factor, stepping into the large dining room was like stepping onto the Antiques road show. A huge Dark oak dinning table to seat 10, and the Breakfast china was lovely. Kevin is clearly the cook and made some fantastic breakfasts for us all; Home made Belgium waffles with fruit and cream, very pretty fruit starters, fantastic Bread pudding and Apple turnovers, and the homemade Granola was also great. Matt and i got married in New Orleans on the Wednesday, Rob & Kev gave us a bottle of Champagne on ice and 5 Glasses so we can celebrate at the start of our day! Fantastic Gesture above and beyond hospitality. I could go on but its all good, you must try it, if you want Clean, Tentative staff and great Hosts.

Room Tip: Black Carriage is a great room with Whirl pool bath and shower.

Rob and Kevin are the kind of people who make you feel like you never want breakfast to end. That breakfast, home-cooked, artfully presented and served around their gorgeous table in their beautiful b&b, comes accompanied by conversation laced with wonderful stories, just the right amount of inquisitiveness, and abundant advice about building your day for maximum delicious New Orleans sensory impact. We had daily restaurant strategy sessions and recaps, and their recommendations (which are constantly being refined through sampling) were flawless, down to the dish and the cocktail. They make the hard work of maintaining such an impeccable standard of quality seem effortless. The house, perfectly located in the Marigny, is walkable to nearly anything, and is an oasis of calm filled with fountains and magic. A casual mention (when booking the room 2 months before) that it would be our honeymoon turned into champagne on ice waiting for us in our room the first night...no fuss, just thoughtful, generous service. On this trip, we reconnected with friends and family in New Orleans who offered us a place to stay on any future trip, but I'd have a hard time thinking of staying anywhere else. Thank you so much, Rob and Kevin, for a fabulous few days. We'll be back.

Beyond what looks like the former garage door is a real gem.The courtyards are definitely picture worthy. Although our room was small it was well appointed. We considered taking the mattress and pillows home with us.Rob & Kevin are super host and breakfast time was the great entertainment.
Kevin is awesome with his presentation of the plates. The location is great, we walked everywhere.
The corner bakery opened at 7:00 which was perfect for my early morning coffee. Three nights was not enough for us in New Orleans so we will definitely be back here again for another great stay.

My husband and I recently stayed with Rob and Kevin at their courtyard for the second time and once again they went above and beyond. The location is a short walk or cab ride to anything in the city you might want to do. The inn and courtyard itself are beyond words. What my husband and I enjoy the most about B&W Courtyards is the breakfast and conversation in the morning with Rob and Kevin. They once again directed us at the best shops and restraunts in the city and we enjoyed every place they sent us to. If you want something besides the same boring hotel I would definitely recommend staying with Rob and Kevin at their courtyard.

Forget your multi national hotels when in New Orleans spend your time here. Rob and Kevin make you more than welcome and offer plenty of information to make your stay a memorable one.

Our room was clean and well presented with an excellent bed that offered a good nights sleep. The bathroom was spacious and included all the necessary requirements offered by most hotels if not more than some.

We are beginning to use more of these cosy B & B's as opposed to the multi national concrete bowl type of hotel. Breakfast was made by Kevin and Rob supplied the entertainment with his stories. I like the idea of sharing the breakfast table with groups of guests that are staying in these smaller establishments and swapping stories with people you don't know and are unlikely to meet again but for a while become friends during your stay.

B & W is on Chartres which is in a small neighbourhood about a safe 10 minute walk away from the French Quarter. In fact the main area of New Orleans is walkable or with the use of the cable car you can be in the Garden District which is recommended viewing. Car parking is in the street and we left our car there throughout our visit as it would have taken longer to drive and park than to walk so lock it up and enjoy this fabulous establishment and city.

I cannot praise the service and the entertainment offered at B & W highly enough and by the way guys I am not that well trained and the next time we are in New Oleans we'll be on the phone to make our reservations.

Room Tip: Stay here when visiting this fabulous city you won't regret it
