“Antiques galore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We stayed at a hotel on Royal street and found it to be at the heart of the French Quarter, near Canal Street and one block from the infamous Bourbon Street. There are antique shops in every block with something for the discerning eye just waiting to be carried home. Enjoy!

“Get away from Bourbon..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Enjoyed Royal St. much more than Bourbon...completely different atmospher despite being only running a block parallel. Royal had numerous restaurants and shops, and a very different clientle. We spent most of our time here...highly recommended for the atmosphere and the street musicians! Some very talented people along here...

“Don't miss the street musicians!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

At the corner of Royal and Toulise are the musicians Tonya and Dorise. They are the best street perfomers we have ever seen and heard! Tonya plays a carbon fiber electric violina and Dorise a very cool carbon fiber guitar. They have a wide range of classical to classic rock and captivate the audience. Once you walk by them, you turn around, sit on the curb and just listen in amazment. They were so good we came back three times and bought their CD's. Look them up on you tube, then go find them on your visit to New Orleans!

“Hope they finish the street soon.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

The city is getting ready for the Super Bowl. The sidewalks are torn up and there are holes in the street. Saw several people trip.
