“Nothing Like a "hurricane"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

No one makes a "hurricane" like Pat O'Brien's. Beautiful courtyard and accessible from Bourbon Street. Probably one of the most famous attractions on Bourbon Street and a real must if you travel to the French Quarters.

“Surprisingly good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

So we are not big party-ers and went here around noon. We sat at an outside bar and had amazing personal service from Jonathan. Of course we ordered hurricanes. Delicious, but probably from syrup. That's okay. What was truly amazing was the food. We ordered a sampler of red beans and rice, gumbo, and crawfish ettouffee. This came with an amazing Caesar salad...amazing because I could tell the dressing was made from scratch. Definitely all freshly prepared food and a I would recommend this establishment for a taste of New Orleans.

“Fun but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Got to sit in the back courtyard near the flaming fountain, which was cool. This was a great place to people watch. Had to have a Hurricane, which was large and very tasty. Server was very nice, but did not explain the whole set-up where they charge you a $3 deposit for the drink glass and you need to turn it in to get your money back. Figured it out from having read about it on TripAdvisor and watching other people there. Glad to say I went once but wouldn't make a point of going back again.

“Food and drinks are good, but pricey.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

My title pretty much sums it up. We ate Dinner at Pat O'Brien's on a Saturday. We had a short wait to get a table. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great! The drinks were strong, but delicious. We ordered a Cajun Shrimp dish and the Jambalaya. The Cajun Shrimp was awesome. The Jambalaya, which was supposed to be a chicken and sausage Jambalaya only had two identifiable pieces of sausage in it and no chicken. Both dishes came in very small portions. The Jambalaya was basically three ice cream scoopers full of rice. That dish and a house salad was $13!
