“Dead Center of Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

We visited here as part of a City Tour - it was very interesting and certainly worth visiting at least one of the cemeteries. Possibly best to have someone with you to give you the details.

“A walk through history.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

New Orleans is one of the few places where it's interesting to walk through a cemetery. We didn't take a tour, so we kind of wandered through on our own. It was interesting, but I would recommend a tour so you really understand the who, what and where of who is buried there. I'm sure there are some great stories.

“Peacefull and quiet after the Mardi Gras mayhem.”

Very ornate mausoleums and interesting gravesites.
Not much more to say - it is quiet though!
Our guide was very knowlegeable.

“Very neat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Neat site to see if your into that kind of thing, I loved it, very historic if not creepy...restoration is very much needed on all the cemeteries in New Orleans.

“best with tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

None of the cemetaries in NOLA are maked well with who is buired there and the hisotry of the places are worth knowing. Get a tour guide and visit this place, matter of fact, find one that will take you here and around the garden district.
