“Would go back again....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

We took the street car from our hotel to City Park and it is a quick walk to the museum. Before going in we ventured through the sculpture garden, botanical garden and story land. The park itself is so clean and amazing. What a wonderful spot in the city.

We have a patron pass at the Seattle Art Museum which is supposed to get us into several others but it didn't work here. Not their fault, we had forgot to put on the special stickers to our museum cards. We also checked all our bags and things in at bag check which was convenient since we had done some shopping at the garden gift shop.

We were hungry so we first headed to the cafe in the museum. The food was delicious. People were also coming in from the park to get box lunches for picnics. Couldn't have been better.

We spent about two hours in the museum after a full day in the park. We made our way through all three floors and especially enjoyed the special exhibit. If you are planning and want to make your way around the park and to the museum plan on most of the day (5-6 hours).

Great gift shop at the sculpture garden, didn't see anything we could live without at the art museum gift shop.

“nice visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

not too big of collection but a few highlights: the imperial Russian objects and Juan Miro were my favorites. Interesting architecture too. Very good cafe (best lunch for whole trip). Also the ride on streetcar to get there was an adventure in itself.

“A Small Museum But Inspiring Collection of Art History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

I loved this museum as a student and then later as an art teacher in Louisiana. The exhibits are well lit and presented in such a way that its a time travel experience from one floor to the other. The asian collection on the top floor is my favorite and flows nicely into the other exhibits and the museum often has special/temporary exhibits on loan. Staff is friendly, wonderful cafe to sit, eat and view surrounding through massive glass walls. The contemporary art is easy on the eye and still a feel of New Orleans all around. Nice gift shop.

“Nice museum.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

During our trip to city park we also stoped at the NOMA (New Orleans Museum of Art). THey had all different kinds of art work (impressions, LA art, Modern art, French, European, and so much more.It was a great way to also cool down from the hot wheather (The higher you go in the museum the colder it gets (at the top floor i thought i was going to freeze)). Other than that i loved almost all the art except some of the Modern stuff (I do not count that as real artwork)

“Nice art museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

The museum was smaller than other big city art museums but did a good job of having a variety of art from different time periods. We also enjoyed the museum restaurant (very good food).
