“Give yourself plenty of time”

We did not realize a museum of this caliber was here but you should definitely try to go here when in New Orleans. And the movie narrated by Tom Hanks is a 4D movie(included sensory experience) is a must. It tells you all about WW2, both the European part and the Pacific part. Unbelievable. We were there 4 hours and it was not enough if you want to see the movie and read all the info in the exhibits. Don't miss this museum!

“WWII Museum”

We visited the WWII Museum in honor of Veterans Day. Please go if you have a chance. We spent a couple of hours in the museum and could have stayed longer. There is much to see and the personal stories made the experience unforgettable.

“Great experience and slice of history!”

Wonderful artifacts, a good blend of written, auditory and interactive, loved all the large displays (tank, jeep, etc.). The museum staff (volunteers?) are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant with retro-dressed waitstaff is fun! Our favorite was the 4D Movie - great for the whole family! Watch out for the snow!

“Worth the trip”

This Museum is one of the finest I have ever visited. It rivals if not passes the Smithsonian cluster in DC. Plan for at least 3 hours and include the movie - it is amazing. (we spent over 5 hours here with my husband, myself and our 18 year old). The restaurant is exceptional also - a John Besh outpost!

The 4D movie "Beyond all Bounds" was a must see as well as the American Sector resturant. Great food, great happy hour.
