“Out of the Way, but Worth the Walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

There is a small admission charge to visit this convent and it's associated church. The church, which is no longer used for regular masses, is well worth the price by itself. It's a real shame that they no longer have regular services there.

“Fascinating and Less Visited”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

This is the oldest building in the Louisiana Purchase and provides a fascinating glimpse into an important facet of local, regional and national history. Although the tours are self guided, the labels are informative, the architecture fascinating, the chapel beautiful and it is never crowded

In addition to the awesome architecture, the history and the mission of the Old Ursuline Convent interested me the most.

“Very Worthwhile Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

It was a pretty inexpensive tour of this very historic building. It was well organized with lots of information and tour by volunteers. We recommend a visit.
