Lovely cathedral, does not take long to visit. Well worth your time. We dropped in before visiting the Presbyetre while in the Jackson Square area.

“Must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

This beautiful cathedral is not only inspirational, architecturally a vision, but is a sight that must not be missed when you are in New Orleans! One cannot absorb all the color, design, feelings evoked, and general splendor of this grand building and church in one visit. And no other church is called cathedral in the city....

We took a few minutes to stop in to hear the organ and see the beautiful frescoes and statuary while in Jackson Square.

“Must-see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

You have to slip into the Cathedral while in NOLA. It is a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the Quarter. They have concerts and free events all the time so check out the calendar.
