“Absolutely beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Over the past 20 years, I have visited the marvelous Audubon Zoo twice on business conferences and once now on vacation. Each time, it is an experience to treasure. If you are staying in the French Quarter, it is a scenic and inexpensive drive by city bus from Canal down Magazine to the zoo. Having lived 10 years in San Diego, their Zoo and Wild Animal Park (Escondido) are both sites to behold and among the best you can find. But, the Audubon is in a league of its own. Unlike most zoos, this feels as if you are actually in the natural habitat of each exhibit in this park.

“Average Zoo but worth a visit if you have kids!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

If you don't have anything to do while your in New Orleans, than this is worth a visit. Its a smaller zoo, and is presently going a lot of renovations, but is well laid out. The train ride that goes around the zoo is helpful as well in getting around. Your typical city zoo with animals and attractions.

“Disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

I know Katrina hit the zoo but it just felt really rundown, not many animals out and those that were didn't exactly look happy. Luckily I didn't have to pay to get in as it came as one of the attractions on the New Orleans Power Pass. New exhibits are being built so hopefully it will be better in years to come.

The grounds were great and most animals had lots of natural space. The amphibian exhibit is extensive

“Nice and pleasant day trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

We really enjoyed the Louisiana swamp part, and it looks like the updates to the zoo will make it a finer destination. Loved the green spaces and the themed areas, especially the Mayan area. Great for pictures.
