“"good aquarium"”

Good, very convenient and close to downtown and other main attractions, very kid oriented, but fun for adults too. Would recommend!

“kids loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Best bang for your buck getting the experience package which allows you to see aquarium, zoo, insectarium and Imax movie for about $25 each. This is a nice aquarium, lots to explore. Took us about 2 hours to see everything. You could book your imax movie and explore the aquarium while you wait as it is next door to the theatre. There is a food court in the aquarium with a Papa John's and other choices though we did not eat there so unsure of cost. A nice gift shop, we bought tshirts for $15 which is reasonable. It is centrally located, Harrah's casino, Riverwalk Marketplace and Ferry Landing are all with in steps of Aquarium so you could spend alot of time in this area.

“A little pricey for less than 2 hours but overall well done.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Very informative displays, nice selection of sting rays, small sharks, etc. The aquariums seemed very clean and well taken care of. There were also penguins, an otter and a rare white alligator.

“Good Thing if You're Looking for Something to Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

Went here while I was in NOLA in March. The line to get tickets was long, but my friend and I figured out that if you went to one of the side lobbies, there was a self serving ticket machine, which saved us a good bit of time from waiting in line. It's on the smaller end of aquariums, so you won't be here all that long (or at least it didn't feel like that long). They had a butterfly exhibit while we were there and the mandatory equator animal exhibit where you're in a humid part of the aquarium for awhile. Good amount of animals to look at and learn about if you have the time

Good location, can walk there or get there by street car if that floats your boat.

“Great for kids - adults not so much”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

There were lots of interactive activities for kids & most of the placards were written in kid friendly tones. However the acquarium itself isn't very big. If you've been to another one -probably anywhere - then you've probably been to one with more exhibits. However if you have kids in your party, it's a good one for them.
