I took a class of students here for a show and found the experience to be wonderful. They accommodated us nicely and all went well.

“Great shows”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We have been to several shows here over the years. They bring in some great one's to go & see.
The building is very nice, parking is very easy. Lots of other things in the area to see/do before or after the show.
My friend & I can't wait every year for the new yearly brochure to come out so we can pick which we want to go to by ourselves or with our husbands. Currently we are waiting for tickets to the church basement ladies to go on sale. Will be the 3rd one of those in the series we have gone to. That is the only thing we don't like. If they know the show is coming & they send out the brochure why don't they sell the tickets for it right away & get the revenue. We have to wait another couple of weeks to even buy the tickets. Seems silly.

But other than that make sure to check out what is playing there because there is sure to be something that you will like.

They also have lots of shows for kids which I'm waiting for my grandson to get old enough to take him to.

“School Field Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

We have been to the Overture center for Christmas events, a wedding, and other plays and have never been disappointed. The building is beautiful and the staff are friendly. We went for a play this time with my daughter's class and the show was done well.

“Great accoustics”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

There are no bad seats in the concert hall acoustically. My wife and I have seen classical concerts and just saw the traveling Broadway show Elliott last night. We have sat in the orchestra, under the balconies and in the very last row in the top balcony. In fact, we prefer the balcony for classical music since the balance is a bit better when you step back from the orchestra. The acoustics in the old center were awful but they have done a masterful job here.

The only negative would be if you are handicapped. Getting to a seat in the middle of a long row could be nearly impossible. Handicapped seating is available but limited.

The seats themselves are comfortable. They work even for my very long legs. If you visit Madison, visiting the center for a concert should be high on your to do list.
