“The best in Wisconsin!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

The food is amazing here. The prices are reasonable and you never leave hungry. The staff is friendly and make you food exactly how you ask. I have eaten here pretty regularly for the past year and I have never had a bad meal or poor service. This is by far, one of my favorite restaurants. Keep up the good work!

“Good tex mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Ordered a taco salad. The meats are excellent and you can choose a combintation, which was great. The salsas and toppings were great, however the iceberg lettuce was less appeasing and the largest component. Burrito was very large and tasty. Could have used some hot sauce or condiment (lime/lemon) bar to jazz it up.

“Worth the effort to find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

Habanero's is a bit difficult to find. It's on a frontage road beside Stoughton Rd and is a little place at one end of a larger building with other businesses. But the food is inexpensive and very good. The staff was very friendly and quick. You place your order at the counter and watch as they prepare it. Very similar to a Chipotle restaurant but better food. I had the vegetarian burrito bowl along with chips and salsa. My wife had a veggie quesadilla and chips and guacamole. The grilled veggies were great, the beans were tasty, and both the milder salsa (tomatillos) and the hotter red sauce were excellent. And don't miss the habanero onions at the end of the food line. And if you're familiar with Mexican Coca Cola, it's available here. Much better than Coke bottled in the U.S. This place is a real gem. Better than most sit-down Mexican restaurants I've tried in this area.

“The best tacos, in Wisconsin, not Tucson????”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

The best tacos, in Wisconsin, not Tucson???? It is true! I winter in Tucson. This wonderful taco place is 20 miles from my home but I still go there regularly. In house or takeout. The pastor is the best I have tasted anywhere; the carnitas and barbecoa are excellent. Just trying to choose while looking at the mouth-watering meats in the hot table is so difficult. I really like them best in corn tortillas. You can have them top the meats with just about anything you have tried with tacos. A word of caution: the namesake habenero sauce is a great treat for your taste buds but not for the rest of your alimentary system so use frequently but sparingly. Ask for it on the side. I know they have tortas and a Habanero Plato (neither on the menu so ask) and burritos, but why cover up the great flavors of the meats??? Staff is friendly and the guests seem much more friendly and relaxed than at other restaurants.
