We make it a point to try new spots from time to time, so we went for an early dinner last Saturday night. I can't imagine how this could have been more disappointing. We were greeted by a damp musty odor as soon as we passed through the door. I hadn't noticed the scent on earlier visits to this building during it's long past as a variety of restaurants.
Our server was attentive but not personable.
The food - ranged it quality from mediocre (at best) to terrible. Breadsticks and loaf of bread were all tasteless and dry. Calamari was okay, but nothing special. Small dinner salads were okay and dressings were bland. One of us ordered lasagna and the other ordered a version of Chicken Parmesan. Both portions were very large if that is important to you. Unfortunately, in our opinion that wasn't a good thing because both entrees were made with tomato sauce that was so cloyingly sweet that we did not finish our meals.
Price - In addition to the one appetizer and two dinners described above, we ordered a
bottle of wine being promoted on a card on the table, and our check was $65. By the time you add a tip, well let's just say we wished we had stayed home and had our favorite carryout pizza from another place.
