“A good value in the Madison area!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2011

I stayed at the Sleep Inn in Madison in March of 2011. Everything about this property was well kept and in good working order. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and offered everything that I needed. The two amenities that came to mind were the large desk area and the flat screen TV. Also, the wireless internet worked without a hitch. Like other reviewers have said, the continental breakfast offerings were meager.
If you have children, they had a nice indoor pool area at one end of the hotel that included a dump bucket, sprayer and a basketball hoop.
I do agree that the place can be a little difficult to find if you are not familiar with Madison. If you are coming off of the Beltline, take Stoughton Road (US 51) south about 1/2 mile to the first light. From there, turn left and U back on the frontage road past the church, supper club and a few houses. The road will lead you into the office park where the hotel is located.
The hotel is away from the attractions of Madison, but for the price and the attractiveness of the property, these aspects were minor.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2011

This was our third visit to this hotel. Our first was in November, 2010; the second was early April, 2011 followed by a third several days later as we returned to Minnesota after visiting relatives in Illinois. This property is a bit difficult to reach, particularly at night since street lights and signs are not well placed; however, we have appreciated the quality of this newer property and what it offers for the price we paid. It is a nice well maintained property with large comfortable rooms. Check-in went well and since we do not travel lightly we use a luggage cart, which was among the best we have found at any hotel where we have stayed. These were sturdy carts with large soft tires and a wider than usual platform for luggage or boxes plus plenty of hooks from which to hang purses, sacks and small luggage pieces.

The wireless internet worked well and although I did not use it I noticed the available of a business center for those who may need it.

We found the only real blemish for this hotel to be its breakfast. There did not seem to be enough help available to keep items stocked or the trash cans emptied in a timely fashion. I noticed that when returning for a second cup of coffee after checking out the area had been cleaned up better, so perhaps it was due to someone not being present in the breakfast area all the time. Also the food offerings were not as extensive as other similar class hotels where we stop. They did have a waffle maker but only two choices of dry cereal, neither of which would be considered a high fiber offering. On one of our three visits Raisin Bran was available. On the other two visits only fruit loops and corn flakes were available. I would rate the breakfast as adequate at best,

If you are looking for a good night's rest for a reasonable price this property offers great value.

We stayed at the Sleep Inn - Madison for a night - didn't use the pool or any other facilities. The room was decent and clean. Breakfast was adequate and appropriate. Nothing special, but we were satisfied, and for $70 we can't complain. The building is new and well kept, though a bit out of the way. Internet WiFi worked well. The only thing keeping the facility from 5 stars is that they were thinly staffed in the morning - we had to wait for milk to be refilled, and other guests had to wait to check out - not the employees fault - she seemed to be the only one on duty. Other than that a fine place to stay!

We were in Madison for an event at the Alliant Energy Center. This hotel is conveniently located just a mile or so from that, and equally as close to the interstate so it was a perfect location. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was quite large with plenty of fluffy towels, though I did wish that it offered a tub instead of just a shower. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept very well. The large desk and free wi-fi were nice for getting a little work done and the large flat panel tv was great for relaxing a little bit late at night. The pool area seemed nice though we didn't have time to enjoy. The continental breakfast was a bit on the sparse side we thought----no eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits & gravy, etc, but there was cold cereal, instant oatmeal, do it yourself waffles, yogurt, bagels, toasts, donuts, muffins, apples, bananas, juices, milk, etc. so we didn't go away hungry. Check in and out was quick and efficient. The whole place seemed to be well maintained and in great shape, looks fairly new. It was a great stay and for $61/night you can't beat it. We'll continue to stay here whenver we are in Madison.

Very clean, comfortable, newer hotel. Staff was very friendly. We didn't get a chance to use the pool area, but it looked very nice. Better than average breakfast. Great bargain for the $75 night we received. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Check-in was professional. Plenty of parking. Although a rugby team was staying on the floor below, very quiet (it was a Saturday night). No complaints.

Stayed here while going to a Badgers game and really enjoyed the stay. Its only about 1 year old and the continental breakvast with the carbons malted Waffles were very good.

Staff was nice and attentive.
