“All around great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

This hotel is in a perfect local close to state street, and the capital. Beautiful, clean rooms, and hotel. We went for the farmers market, and will definitely go back! It was a little more pricey for the area, but it was worth it.

I stayed here for a 3-day continuing education course with the University of Wisconsin. The hotel was clean and well kept even though it was quite busy with various summer conferences.

The bars and restaurants in the hotel did not seem overpriced. Parking and check-in during rush hour can be a bit hectic. The hotel staff is VERY helpful and well coordinated with various conferences and activities going on in the area.

Hotel taxes in Madison are high. This is typical of towns hosting large universities. I think most reservation systems factor in taxes.

Wi-fi was excellent. There was a refrigerator in the room; no microwave either in the room or on the floor. The soda machine ate $2.00 of mine. I didn't feel like going down the elevator and complaining.

We had a burnt out lamp in the bathroom. Maintenance responded promptly.

I didn't have a chance to check out the pool or exercise room so refer to other reviews for that.

Overall, I'd stay there again.

My husband and I just got home from an overnight stay at the concourse hotel! We thought it was a perfect getaway for our anniversary and a little baby moon before our little joins us :) we upgraded to the governors club for our stay and got a room with a jetted tub! The tub alone was worth the additional cost! It was big enuf to fit us both and I'm 7.5 months pregnant! We checked out the complimentary bar for appetizers late afternoon before dinner. Snacks were not impressive but not bad. I guess they had a bunch of salmon but the bartender said it only lasted 9 minutes!! The drinks were good (according to my husband!) and he never had to wait long. We missed out on the desserts but heard they were good! Caught the end of breakfast in the morning and it was not bad. Eggs, French toast, pastries, juice, coffee. Nothing special but not bad. The food all gets taken down at the end of the allotted time, so don't plan on showing up late and still get food! The bed was great and the fridge was a nice addition! The view was amazing! We got the top floor with a view of the capital :) the governors club was worth it for the tub and the view! We got our money worth of drinks and food but there are so many neat bars around that we did not want to spend all our time at the hotel! Only other thing that would have put this to 5star status would have been free parking, at least for those in the upgraded governors club, but having parking available was nice! Almost excellent status :)

Room Tip: Upgrade for the jetted tub, or jacuzzi, in the governors club! Top floor with a view of the capital...

I was taking a week long class there at the college and stayed at the Concourse during my visit. The room was large - king size bed all to myself. Everything was clean.

I visited the exercise facility along with the pool area during my stay, and everything was perfect.
They have a bar on the first floor along with a restaurant. The drinks at the bar were great! Bartender remembered my face and name which made it more personable. Breakfast at the restaurant was reasonably priced and tasted great.

The hotel is in walking distance of everything and they offer shuttle service to and from the airport. If I ever visit Madison again, I will be staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Madison Concourse Hotel! The staff is incredibly accomodating and friendly. The location is walking distance to almost anything you'd want to see (Camp Randall is a bit of a hike though fyi). Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madison.

We stayed at the Concourse hotel this weekend. In fact, I am still sitting in our room packed up and ready to go but because we had such a phenomenal experience I couldn't wait to write a review. We splurged and stayed in the Governor's Club. Every service beginning at check in was prompt and easy- even with a wedding taking place there. We have enjoyed our experience so much that we cannot wait to return. The location is perfect for walking around the capital but the Concourse offers enough within its walls that you don't really need to leave. Can't wait to come back!

This is a very nice hotel. We were last minute guests last night and the hotel was very accomidating. The service is fantastic, the doorman was very helpful with our luggage and the front desk clerk was very polite and check in was a breeze. Our room was very nice and clean and the shower in the bathroom was enormous. The location is also great, its close to the capital and right off state street. Almost everything is in walking distance. Overall a very nice place to stay when in Madison.
