“Pricey, but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

I made a last minute stop in Cortez in August. They had no regular rooms available, so I took an "upgrade", which brought the price up a bit - but even so, for the area I think the rooms are over-priced. The room was very clean, and the head maid actually visited us after we checked in to make sure the room was up to our standards.
The bathroom was a bit small, but in perfect condition.
The indoor spa/pool was very cute - made too look like a natural pond. There was also an outdoor pool that was very clean.
I didn't stay for breakfast, but from the menu, it looked great.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back of the hotel as the road in the front can be a bit loud (trucks use th...

Nice size room with private bath including two sinks and separate toilet room. However, this is an older facility and it is showing its age. The A/C did was too loud for decent sleep on the high setting and the motor was too noisy to allow sleep on the low setting (only choices).

We traveled around Colorado and Utah national parks. This Best Western had the best breakfast during our stay. Eggs, coffee, even waffles were good. Also the pool and hot tub were large and pleasant to use. USA Today was available in lobby at breakfast each day.

Very noisy and the parking very poor. Room was OK but it is not family friendly. Would not recommend this motel for family stay. I had a first floor room because it is nice to park outside the door. This was impossible if you go out to dinner and return after 7:30 PM.

This is an older hotel, but it looks like they have done some remodeling. It is pretty nice inside, and the rooms are quite large. The bathroom is small, but there is a vanity outside of it too. They had BBW toiletries so that was an added bonus. We also got a crib in our room without any problems. Breakfast was really good. They had a lot of options including real oatmeal (not instant) which was very nice. There were some weird hippies that we had to eat with, but that's what you get in Cortez I guess. I didn't think it was worth the extra expense compared to other BWs, but all the hotels are pretty expensive out there so it's a fine price for the area I guess.

This hotel like many other Best Western's does a great job. The staff was friendly and pleasant, the room was clean and well stocked with free wifi. The kitchen staff in the morning was extra king in giving us some yougurt to take since we were early for breakfast. People were using the jacuzzi and pool. Nice!

We were taking out daughter and grandkids to see many of God's wonderful creation around the southwest. We had many opportunities to stay in motels and this one was very good and provided the best room for 5 people and the best breakfast at a reasonable rate.
