On the advice of our "landlords," we ate dinner at the Shiloh. We were greeted upon entry at once, and shown to a table. The room was decorated with antiques, some of which we could recognize, and some unknown. Our waitress, who was a daughter-in-law of the owners, asked if we would like something to drink beside water. We ordered cocktails, which she fixed herself (Southern Comfort Manhattans); she should be a bartender. After a reasonable time, she took our order for dinner. We asked about splitting an entree, since the steaks were too large for our tastes. "Of course, no problem." So, we did; half a NY strip each, plus potatoes, salad, and green veggie. Medium rare. Perfectly cooked. Wonderful food! Nice ambience, except for the lady behind us using her cell phone (know how loudly people speak when on their phones? You wonder if they need a hearing aid). It was a good meal, relaxed service, but not in-attentive. The restaurant also has jars of jelly available for purchase; we bought 4. Served the peach butter tonight with grilled bananas. Scrumptious! Can't wait to try the other flavors. We recommend the Shiloh highly!
