We visited Hot Springs, AR for a weekend getaway and chose to stay at the Panther Valley Ranch. The ranch is located just outside of Hot Springs. The ranch and facilities were so nice and clean. We stayed in the Victory Suite and were especially impressed! We enjoyed the rustic feel of the suite and the property in general. The furnishings were very cozy and comfortable, the décor having a western flair. The claw foot tub was an added bonus. Ben lit a fire in the wood fireplace when we arrived for check in. The kitchen had a stove and refrigerator and was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes.
The owner and staff were gracious and informative about area attractions, food, etc. We had a great time on the trail ride/steak dinner. The horses were gentle and we discovered that they are available for trail riding at various times throughout the day. Our trail riding guide, Jade, was very attentive and patient with some of us "older" people who hadn't ridden horses in many years! For our supper, the steaks were grilled exactly to our request and the twice baked potato was perfectly seasoned and warm. The brownie for dessert was nice and warm.
After our trail ride, we walked around the property, then sat on the porch in rockers and enjoyed the peace and quiet, the nickering of the horses, and the other night sounds. We could hear the beautiful voices of the pre-show actresses warming up for the musical/drama, “The Witness”, which is located next door to this property. At the last minute, we decided to attend and were so glad we did. The play was great. The actors/actresses were exceptional, bringing an occasional tear to our eyes during their heartfelt performances. A must see if staying at the Panther Valley Ranch. The play is seasonal so be sure and check their schedules.
To wrap up, if you want peace, quiet, and cleanliness, this is the place to stay. We will definitely stay here again!
