We were looking for a restaurant with a rooftop deck & were steered to Rolando's. What a hidden gem of a patio! Although you do go through the restaurant & up a few sets of stairs, it's not exactly a "rooftop" deck where you can see people walking or see the lights of the shopping strip. HOWEVER, it was lovely. It's a patio tucked into the hillside with a nice tree canopy above you. There was even a guitarist playing on Friday evening. Our server, Jarrod, was very friendly and knowledgable about the food. I must recommend the Sangria Ritas - so tasty!! Also highly recommend Jose's Quesadillas (a great suggestion from Jarrod) with the pork. These quesadillas have goat cheese - great for those lactose intolerant folks out there - and I cannot describe how amazing delicious the pork was ... melt-in-mouth! The only bummer was the guacamole - although very very tasty, it was a pretty small amount for $8-9. Overall awesome ambience (on the patio), awesome drinks, and deliciously flavorful food!
