We stayed here Feb 13-14 2015. I don't know what this hotel is doing with the profit they make but they ain't keepin' the place up...Check in was fine the employees are really nice. The room size is fine. The shower was tiny and it grosses me out to be rubbing up on the shower curtain. They don't have the curtain rods with the nice little curve to give you more room. The beds...oh the beds!!! Horrible just horrible, the sheets were thinner than tissue and even worse they kept coming off! Nobody but nobody wants their skin to come in contact with a hotel mattress that hasn't been replaced since 1972 or the day before for that matter. It was one of those beds that you rolled into the middle. Ok, you get it. The bed was horrible! No microwave or refrigerator in the room either. However, if you want to catch herpes they do keep their coffee pot in the bathroom. This is how you catch herpes, right? Oh never mind you probably got that off the mattress. This place needs updated in a major way and I know they are making money because they were sold out when we were there. All the employees were really nice and helpful. Wifi was sketch at best. Elevators are super slow too.

I hate to leave a negative review, but...
The staff was friendly (I'll begin with a positive). The room and hotel hallways are very outdated. Moderately clean. The beds are full-size, not queen. Pillows were laughably thin. The TV was very old and had 10-13 channels. The lighting was dark and outdated, as well as the furnishings. The carpet in the room even made the kids squirm. It really felt like a step back into the early 80's.
The worst part was the lack of amenities. There was no fridge or microwave in the room and nowhere in the hotel to buy items you may need or even snacks (aside from a soda machine on our floor).
This hotel has so much potential if they would just update their rooms. I hope they come around soon and do so because the location is central to everything (I did appreciate the complimentary free parking). Until then, we will stay next door at the Embassy Suites for a few bucks more.

Close location to the Hot Springs Convention Center... Had a stroller with me . Little inconvenient. Only a stairway access to the convention center. You have to go around outside to get in... Room was pretty nice. Wasn't the cleanest. Needs updating. Old TV. Phone didn't work. AC unit was pretty old.

We bought the ultimate package which included 1 room for 2 nights, 2 breakfast buffets, BOGO for dinner, tickets to the awesome tower in the park, 2 20-minute mineral baths and 2 60-minute Swedish massages. the total cost, taxes included, was a little over $400. I couldn't have been more pleased. We're both smokers, and they have a floor with smoking rooms. I did not smell smoke in there at all. It was very clean, had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, the works. Ashley checked us in a little early and was very helpful. Ellen, Brenda and Ashley at the spa were courteous and great at their jobs. It was an awesome weekend. The hotel is maybe one block from the downtown strip. I will definitely go back.

Room Tip: If you smoke, try to get room 306. It's very private and larger than the others.

Have stayed at the Austin a couple times now and its been great both times. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Also its conveniently located downtown close to everything on bath house row. I would recommend the Austin to anyone who wants a nice room at a fair price.

if you are looking for a luxury hotel room you might want to consider other options. But if you are looking for a budget-friendly hotel that is centrally located to great restaurants, shopping, and the convention center, that has a great staff, restaurant and lounge then look no further! The rooms are comfortable and clean, but nothing fancy. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was small and the tub was rather old. However, we were in town for a coin show and not in the room much so we didn't mind. I can't say enough about the staff though. From the front desk, valet, restaurant staff, to housekeeping...they were all attentive, helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

My husband booked a couples bath and massage as a surprise and the experience was great. We arrived a little early and the staff was very friendly. Ellen was the bath attendant. She greeted us and explained what she was going to be doing. She then took as back and so sweet and helpful. Denise did our massage and we could not be more pleased!! We had a couple of trouble spots and walked out feeling great. It was the best massage I had ever had! We will be booking another appointment soon!
