“RUDEST PEOPLE EVER!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

We were taking a walk through downtown Hot Springs and looking for a place to get a smoothie or some ice cream. We stopped in front of the Nut Cellar when someone began a conversation with us. My 11-year old son wanted to sit down for a minute and, unfortunately, tried to sit down next to one of the owners. He was promptly told in a very rude manner that he would HAVE to buy something if he wanted to sit down. Now, I realize that, as the owner, it's his right to say that. However, he did NOT have to make my son feel like some kind of criminal just for wanting to sit down for a minute! Needless to say, he not only lost a sale, but we will never give this establishment one pennys' worth of business!

The place was fine. Two in the group got coffee. I got ice cream. Mine was Bluebell which was good. Their coffee was okay.

We stopped for coffee and ended up getting some pastries as well and everything was wonderful! The staff was so sweet and the place is very well decorated. We will be back!

“Welcomed Cold Tourists on Christmas Day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2009

The bathhouse district was mostly closed on Christmas Day, but when we walked by the Nut Cellar, a customer popped out and invited us in for coffee or hot chocolate. We stopped in for hot chocolate on our way back to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, we went back for turkey pastrami sandwiches and some chips.

Reasonable portions/prices, good quality. A large case of ice cream available for warmer weather, but no roasted nuts or nut butters. The name is a hold over from an older version of the business.
