“Neat little museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Small, but unique. Didn't take long to walk through it. LOVED the section that included fairy tales like Snow White, Cinderella, etc. Only 10 bucks to get in, so it was something to do and interesting.

“Love wax museums”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

I would say, as far as wax museums go, this one could use a little TLC. It's still creepy and weird and wonderful in that way, but it's just a little more run down than it should be. Some of the figures were patched back together and one didn't have a hand. That said, it's still worth it for the oddness of the whole thing. There is also a great little historical display toward the end that highlights the building and some of the gang activity in Hot Springs' old days.

“Waste of $$”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

My friend & I looked forward for a whole year to coming back to Hot Springs and visiting the wax museum. We finally went and could not believe it. Some of the figures were of fictional characters (Cinderella, Snow White, etc.). The best thing about it was the Al Capone/gangster area - that was the most true-to-life attraction in the whole museum. The Princess Diana figure looked NOTHING like her. There were some that looked real, but the majority did not.

“Elvis Looks Alive!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

If you are looking for a great wax museum, this isn't it. If you want some moderately creepy entertainment in a tourist town, Josephine Tussaud's works just fine.

George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush stand in the front window. Pope St. John Paul greets visitors at the start of the official tour. In a display just around the corner from The Last Supper, Carrie Nation takes her hatchet to an old timey saloon, and Bill and Hillary are prominently displayed further on. (It's Arkansas, of course.) The museum also includes legitimate exhibits about the days when illegal casino gambling took place in Hot Springs.

Some of the criticisms you may read on this page are accurate, but it's a wax museum, not the Sistine Chapel. It's not the kind of place to take too seriously.

“fun museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Cute museum. It doesn’t take very long to go through and was a nice change of pace. The wax figures weren’t the greatest, but they were well done. I would recommend you pay the $1.50 for the booklet that explains everything. Also, ask to see the underground tunnel – that was one of the things they don’t tell you, you have to ask about it.
