“A "must" for anyone visiting Hot Springs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

I've visited the tower several times over the years. I always enjoy going back. The view is marvelous! Interesting historical facts make the trip more than just pretty scenery. (Younger children may become restless while parents are viewing/reading the many historical documents.)

“Visit at sunset...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

I've been before, but this is the first time I visited right as the sun was setting, and it was a neat experience. Worth the money.

Very gorgeous view...enjoyed the history on the second floor...I feel the workers could interact more with the people...they acted like they didnt care.

“Great View of Hot Springs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

My husband, 11 year old son and I visited the Mounting Tower during our recent trip to Hot Springs. It was a very interesting experience and the views from the top of the tower were amazing. Really gave a good prospective of the "lay of the land". We bought discount tickets from our inn keeper (Alpine Inn) so we found it to be a good value. I do wish the lady that took our tickets had been a bit clearer about what floors we were to visit. You can either walk up stairs or take a glass elevator to the other floors. We took the elevator to the 2nd floor and enjoyed seeing the displays about the history of the area and Bill Clinton artifacts. We then went to to the 3rd (and top) level that does not have displays but gives you a clearer, unobstructed view without glass. While on the 2nd floor, I heard other guests asking if there were more floors so apparently they were confused, also.

“Tough climb, but great view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We started out at the base of the mountain at the national park HG building below the rehab center. Started out as just a walk along the top of spa row, but we took some paths heading uphill, and eventually we ended up at the top of the mountain, at the observation tower. It was a hard climb in the heat, but there is a bus service available from somewhere below, apparently.

The tower has an admission fee, then you take an elevator up to the top. The views are spectacular. Very well worth the time and money.

On our way down, a bus stopped and offered us a ride. A very knowledgeable and friendly old man drove the (free) bus, and eventually dropped us off downtown near the Catholic church. The bus driver gave us a map of all the trails on and around the mountain, and I recommend you get one of these in advance.
