“Relaxing place with beautiful beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

We stayed here for a long weekend and were really impressed with the location and facilities. The rooms were really nice and clean, well laid out and spacious. The shower is by the full length mirror so you can take your shower with a beautiful view of the sea and beach. Unfortunately everyone on the beach can probably see you if you can see them.

The beach is beautiful white sand and the sea (at least while we were there) was calm and nicely cool. There is not much around the private beach and when the tide is out you can take a nice walk along the coast line.

The design and decor is very nice. The service a little slow and sometimes we had to search for someone to take or order or get the bill from. The food was not so good. The pizza was on some weird base (i think it was a shop bought one) and had so many tomatoes I had to take most off. The best thing on the menu was the burger. We also had a seafood buffet which was quite OK. The breakfast was very good - one day was buffet breakfast and then the other was a la carte (i guess they base it on how many guests the have)

The spa is really nice, the rooms look out to the ocean and were very nicely designed. The therapist was very and good and I was completely relaxed afterwards. They had a delicious tea which I meant to buy some of but I forgot :( You can buy most things in the hotel you can just ask at reception.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same but the ones on the lower floors have a sun beds for private sunbathing

After having had a terrible experience in a hotel in town, we moved to this resort for the rest of our short weekend trip. They sent a taxi to pick us up, and had our rooms ready by the time we arrived. The food was excellent, the amenities, clean, spacious and quiet. The spa is nice and we had a great massage... The staff was very helpful. I have nothing but positive things to say. This resort is great for relaxing, you can use it as a base to travel from and discover the surroundings but it's a little far from town.

Rooms are massive overlooking the beach, with a good pool and spa is tranquil. Best thing is the service, nothing is too much trouble, and when you are living out of a suitcase, that counts for a lot. I will defintely be back!

Room Tip: Foot rub is the best at the spa...and go the rose bath on the final night!

Absolutely 1 of the most secluded and beautiful locations we've come across in all of Vietnam. Quy Nhon is a non-descipt city, not regarded as a tourist destination such as Nha Trang, Phan Tiet or Hoi An, however this little gem of a resort is the perfect hideaway without the usual tourist paraphenalia that so often ruin many places here. The resort itself has it's own private beach, where if you come across another person it is very unusual, it has a beautiful spa with open-air treatment rooms with unobstructed views to the ocean, yoga classes for the more fitness minded plus a beautifully clean circular outdoor pool overlooking the beach. They do organise a few trips including a short hop to the island opposite in the very traditional circular fishing boats, but apart from that there is little to do here as you are at least 20 minutes by taxi from the city-not that there is much to do in the city anyway as there are so few tourists. Rooms are tired but quirky; we liked the open plan design with huge floor to ceiling doors opening onto a nice balcony where we sat for many hours reading a book and supping some good quality (but expensive) wines, the bathroom had a powerful shower and that also overlooked the beach which made the whole room very bright and airy. With a bit of money spent the whole room would feel so much better as the wood and tiling was old and had a dirty feel to it. Food wise was a mixture; we liked the freshly cooked mixed veggies, vermicelli and beansprouts for breakfast, decent local eggs and also a good selection of local preserves, Dinner was a bit of hit and miss, chicken with ginger had good flavor but the local meat was stringy and tasteless and the seabass rubbed with cumin and ginger was not as fresh as we had in the city the day before. Very good quality Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley perfectly chilled and served in top quality glasses. Shame we did not have WIFI in the room, as also the desktop connection in the lobby was very slow. TV selection was very poor, as was the picture quality. What we did really appreciate was the helpful and friendly nature of the Manager Trevor and the staff-yes there were a few "lost in translation" moments but this was more than made up for by the willingness of the staff to go out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. With a little bit of support and investment from the owners it could be an absolutely stunning place, not necessarily for a long stay but certainly for a weekend break or a 4 day midweek special-just come prepared with some books, I-pad, a sense of humour and a real desire to experience a part of unspoit Vietnam before the masses arrive.

Amazing stay. rooms have amazing views. the service is great and the staff are so friendly! one of the staff (waitress) even went out of her way to show us (and another couple) around quy nhon city and the local markets. the food is yummy! and if you are craving a little bit of home, their pasta dishes and french fries are perfect. their breakfast buffet is AWESOME, accomodating all taste buds! from asian soups and dishes, muffins, pastries, toast, bacon eggs, , 10 different fresh fruits to choose from everyday and the list goes on. and all the food is fresh. various freshly squeezed juices aswell to choose from (except the bottled apple juice). the life spa is great! little bit over priced but comparing back to aussie prices, it is still half the price! and it is perfectly situated with great views while receiving massages! there were small areas under construction but that did not affect the overall views. we had an amazing room which was on the top floor (high ceiling), however the reception is so spacious and comfy (with a bar, pool table, books, games) me and my boyfiend hung out there among the Vietnamese staff which were more than happy to talk to us and answer our questions about vietnam. i left a shoe in the room and only realised when we arrived in Da Nang, they were more than happy to post the shoe, free of charge

Overall, this resort is an amazing place for an escape from the hussle and bussle. Nothing was left to chance, everything was done to assure that our stay was perfect. from service to facilities.

Will be returning as much as possible!

Room Tip: get the high ceiling rooms on the top level if you have the funds :)

very nice quiet break and rest place. but a bit sterile.
the evening food was poor, and there are no other options. you have to eat here , town is too far away. snack items good.
the management seem to be trying their best, and staff are genuinely nice and helpful.... but staff training is needed to help them understand what a 4* resort customer is looking for.

Room Tip: ask for a top floor room. more privacy and good views.

We were not blessed with good weather; in fact the wind howled and the sea was really rough. However, as we were there for only one night the weather did not deter us from relaxing, having a very good massage at the beautiful spa, and eating well. The manager, Trevor, is welcoming and informative, and seems genuinely committed to ensuring that his guests are comfortable. On our last day he directed us to a seafood restaurant in the town; he arranged transportation and gave us Vietnamese translations of what we should order. The meal wasoutstanding, one of the best we have had in our three years in Vietnam. The downsideswere the beds ( a little hard) and the pricey airport transport. We will go back, in good weather, to enjoy the gorgeous beach setting and lovely, untouristy countryside.
