Home from home, whilst we stayed at the Haven Belinda and Paul were in residence. From the moment we arrived the Haven we felt at home. We can only add to the rave reviews this place has had. Paul and Belinda were incredible hosts, the food was much better than a lot of food we ate on our whole trip, we had the front room with the private balcony glad we paid the extra. Make the effort to walk around the village and try the local delicacies. If you have the want, head across to the hotel on the far side of the beach and try one of their awesome massages, a little expensive in Vietnamese terms but as part of the whole experience it was well worth it.
I had the pleasure of drinking with the locals, all it took was a couple of hours hard labour helping them to shift some of their fishing craft up the beach. They supplied the beer so no complaints. Drinking etiquette, although there is a lot of bottled beer it is customary to drink from the communal cup and iced eski!
We can’t thank Paul and Belinda enough for making our stay at the Haven one of the most memorable experiences of our trip- it wouldn’t have been the same without you guys. It was way more memorable than the 8 hours on hard seats getting to Mui Ne – wish we’d stay at the Haven for longer. XX
