room -- we had two family western/eastern fusion room. very spacious, clean, full with amenities
facilities -- the pools: divided into an outdoor warm water pool and all kinds of hot spring spas. there's even a pool with little fishes in it and you can dip your toes in the water for a real surprise :D. there's also two indoor hotspring pools for male and females separately.
food -- the buffet is pretty good, with a selection of food made from fresh local produce.
service -- even the word "wonderful" doesn't do their staffs justice.

over all, if you plan to visit Yilan, be sure to book a night at this hotel

couldn't ask for anything more. from the shuttle service to the hotel to the shuttle service to the train station customer service was at its best!!! The rooms had a wonderful view. the hot springs were beautiful and the meals were absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't like about my stay is only staying for one night!!! Can't wait to go back on my next visit to Taiwan

Had two nights at this hotel at Easter. We enjoyed it enormously! We were two adults and our 12 year old son, and so the hotel recommended the japanese style room where we all slept on futons that were laid out for us each evening. We have stayed in similar rooms before and enjoy the space when the beds are put away - but would not recommend for anyone who would have difficulty getting up and down from low beds / seating. The quiet green location is lovely (but only a short bike ride or shuttle bus ride into the town). The buffet is awesome and views from both restaurant and bar very pleasing (across the infinity pool).

We had fun in the pools / spas - particularly the fish spa which you must try - very tickly and funny. (You will be asked to wear a bathing hat, which is provided, but all the locals wear them, so you'll just "blend in"!) The indoor onsen are also very nice, but it was good for all three of us to 'spa" together outside, which is not possible in segregated onsen. I recommend giving the various activities a go - the bike ride was very pleasant, and the craft activities were interesting. We made chocolates and ribbon roses - not something we've done before in our travels! There is a waterfall and walking trails just up the road. very easy to get to, and hard to get lost.

We got there by bus from Taipei main station - very easy. Returned to Taipei by train (to see different scenery) - this too is very easy. All in all a great side trip from Taipei.

stayed for one night for the natural hotspring and the great reviews. I must say, it's one of the best places ever stayed. outdoor spa/springs area very awesome. japanese style of bedrooms. free internet, free drinks in the fridge. the staff very courteous and polite. Food buffet style, rivals the Wynn, very exceptional. did I also mention the spa fish that eats the dead skins off your feet? very interesting sensation/experience.
Will definitely come back again

During our trip to Taiwan for a wedding, we stayed here for a family reunion including my parents, my 2 brothers and their families. We all had young children so the japanese tatami style rooms worked out perfectly. There are various kinds of herbal hot springs spa in-room or outdoors. There is a gender separated nude spa if you don't mind, although we chose not to use it. Our kids favourite was the one with gold fish nipping away the dead skin on your foot. It was also our first time seeing an "Infinity Pool" and the experience was beyond imagination.
There are activities throughout the day at the resort. Our kids made stone crafts in the afternoon and at night we watched the traditional Taiwanese opera in the lobby. We thought the kids play area and games room were great. We would definitely visit again if we ever go to Taiwan again in the future.

We did not know what to expect when we booked for the stay at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very courteous and pleasant. The rooms are clean and very well planned. We tried the set Japanese meal as well as the western buffet. Both were good in general apart from one or two items. There was enough variety and quantity..
What we felt could have made our stay more enjoyable if there were more information provided regarding places of interest nearby. Most of what was supplied were all done in Mandarin. In fact the library which was very nicely done , only had Chinese books.
We actually wanted to see the farms and centres where they offer DIY but were told they are very far away.
We were very grateful to the hotel for preparing take away breakfast for us on the day we checked out as our flight was very early and their restaurant was not opened yet. We left very impressed with the service.
