This hotel is a great one to look at and walk around on the grounds. I definitely recommend stopping by here and taking a peek when you are in Nuwara Eliya. If you're looking for a place to stay, go for the tea factory.
We had issues getting the right room when we checked in a bit late, but that was rectified rather quickly by the hotel staff.
The worst experience was when we went for dinner. The whole time the waiter who served our table would make snarky and racist comments to me. When we were about to leave he demanded that I pay this extremely expensive bill. It was so embarrassing to sort this out as he was convinced we bunked in for a "free meal". We had to get the concierge and hotel manager involved to prove that we had already paid for half-board here and dinner being included in that package.
