“Very Gentle on the Spirit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

It was so nice to be on the site of a 5+ resort without feeling everything is overstated. The whole place was gentle on the mind, unless you get upset with yourself on the wonderfully scenic and challenging Nirwana Club golf course. The unhurried, smiling efficiency of the Balinese service by all concerned over the 8 days we spent was a lovely experience. Nothing was too much trouble whatever your needs. It was also nice to have an excellent variety of restaurants to experience on site, including things like a romantic dinner on a private cliff top. Informal lunch and evening meals at the very modern Tanah Lot Gastro restaurant was treat, especially with the service accorded to us by Wayan Suartini. Although the resort is 40 minutes from the airport, (we were met and transported by Pan Pacific from there) we certainly did not have any desire to venture elsewhere during our stay. The spa/massage services were soothing. So those wanting something else more active the fabulous gym facility would be to die for, or just relax with the yoga sessions. We will be back!

Room Tip: Suggest booking a Club room on level 5 overlooking the expansive pool areas. One then enjoys the Pac...

We stayed 2 nights, as my husband wanted to play golf on the Greg Norman course. We checked in and were offered a cool towel and drink, and then very quickly taken to our room. We had booked a golf course view as it sounded better than a garden view.. We got a ordinary garden view, so requested to change. It turned out the garden view room was more updated than the golf view room. We didn't mind as we had golf view and ocean view. The pools are great and the one with the water slide was always a bit cooler so used it more. Great sunsets over the ocean. Meals were good with great variety especially breakfast. I was happy to move on to Legian for more action as this resort is a long way from anything else. There are some markets down by the Temple in the rock. If we had more time we would have taken the bike ride to the rice fields. The golf course was amazing.

Food and service was excellent. Pool and surrounding gardens were stunning. Total 'resort' feel with excellent Kids' Club facilities. A little on the pricey side (deservingly) so watch for special deals. I totally recommend the Pan Pacific for any family or couple wanting a Resort-style, fully serviced holiday.

Room Tip: Family rooms with kids bunks are a little run-down. Would recommend the Villas for families of 4 and...

We have just returned from 8 nights in paradise! Nirwana Pan Pacific was a heavenly place. Every way one turned you saw beauty...in the people who looked after us, our room with a view over the pristine golf course, the restaurants, the numerous pools, and the sunsets over the Indian Ocean were magnificent! The Cooking Class, our morning bike ride to the rice fields, and our massages at the superb Spa area and our late night swims in the lagoons were only surpassed by our anniversary dinner at the Poolside Grill Restaurant. We were made to feel so special! Our 3 course dinner was delicious...a gourmet meal to delight. The delivery of fresh fruit, and the Sweet Dream treats everyday are just a small example of the superior service we received at this fabulous Resort!

Room Tip: We were very happy with our ground floor spacious room overlooking the golf course and sea! You coul...

My wife and I wanted so much to go to Bali and discover this part of Indonesia. We chose the Pan Pacific hotel in Bali based on word of mouth and have never regretted it. I am myself working in hotel industry and so much would like to work in such an environment even. From the collection at the airport to the drop off at the same place one week later, we have no other comments than compliments about both the staff, the services and the facilities. We enjoyed every single moment. The breakfast is so great, the swimming pools and slides took us back to childhood, the room is fantastically comfortable and enjoyable, the property amazingly breathtaking by its scenery. Actually our only regret at the end was to leave the property. My only suggestion would be to offer more complimentary activities around Indonesian culture (cooking class, explanations about the culture, main beliefs...). THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYBODY!!!

Room Tip: Get a seaside view as it is a real pleasure

I happened to stay in Pan Pacific, Bali in lieu of my conference in the same resort. I am glad that I took my family along with me. It was truly a lifetime experiencing the grandeur exotic locale of the resort.

PROS:
1. Not that I can can recall.
2. Food, rooms, resort area, swimming pool, golf course was perfect.
3. WIFI anywhere facility reach really awesome. I was able to be in touch with my wife through VIBER and WhatsApp.
3. There was a temple in the vicinity of the resort. Its a good place to buy cheap momemto and artifacts.

CONS:
1. The only problem I can think about is that it is in a very remote location from the city limits. Hence mobile phone network is very bad. You have to rely in WhatApp and Skype to talk via internet.
2. Airport is about more than 30KM and takes about 1hour to reach.

Room Tip: Sea & Swimming pool facing will be a good choice.

My wife and I and my friend and his wife spent four days at Nirwana. We were last there four years ago and we thought it was great then. Nothing much has changed. Again the service was first class. Nothing too hard for the staff to do to make things easier for us. The rooms were an excellent size. The restaurants were diversified and had top quality food. As an example of the level of service - my friend slipped on the steps at one of the restaurants and did himself a bit of damage. They had a doctor come within 10 minutes to bandage him up. In the morning there were notes of concern from management, and quite a few members of staff asked about his welfare. Special mention to Made Arya, Denom and Devi who looked after us. I will mention the golf side in a separate review.cannot fault this place and will certainly come again.
