We stayed in the Buddha, beutifull place to relax and enjoy nature.
The service is excellent and they are doing a great job at Bali!
It is no touristic place so if you are looking for the exciting envirement of nature, you are at the right place.

We spent 3 wonderful days and nights in this oasis of calm surrounded by nature. Johny and his team are so caring and passionate about caring for their visitors and the environment. Food was delicious and we didn't want to leave. My husband was ill (NO fault of Bali eco stay) and the team looked after him, me and our girls. We stayed in Rice water, which is huge with the most stunning views. Our only regret is not going on a longer walk.
Highly recommend this.

We spent a few nights in the Rice Water Bungalow at a time when we desperately needed rest and relaxation. I can only echo what all the other reviewers have said - it was a truly amazing experience.

The bungalow itself is gorgeous. The bathroom is stunning with gorgeous toiletries, it felt like our own day spa (the only way I could imagine it being improved would be with the presence of a bath). The bedroom had everything we needed, and both the bed and linen were luxurious. We went to sleep to the sound of the water, frogs and crickets; slept like babies; and then woke every morning to the sight of bright green rice paddies. It was lovely sitting in the front area and reading, sleeping and just staring out at the farmland.

We didn't do much while we were there - we went for a few long walks, but for those wanting to be more active, I can imagine that the cost of the (quite expensive) activities would add up. There is definitely better value to be had elsewhere.

The waterfall and the 'swimming pool' are lovely but are fairly small. This makes them perfect for kids, but the pool certainly isn't suitable for lap swimming!

The safe in our room wasn't working and I did make two requests for it to be fixed, but this didn't happen. I should stress that this wasn't a major issue for us, but it's worth mentioning for those who would have a different attitude.

We ate all our meals at Bali Eco Stay and could not fault the food or drinks - it was all exceptional, and among the best we had on Bali. The coffee was definitely the best we had anywhere!

John, Cath, Huey, Agung & Minni were all lovely, and we had some wonderful chats with John in particular. The commitments to the environment and to community mentioned on the website are not just for show - we were only there for a few days, but what we did see impressed us.

Bali Eco Stay absolutely exceeded our expectations, provided us with the rest we needed, and we would not hesitate to go back if the opportunity arises.

...to have found this little hidden paradise in Bali. Congratulations John for creating a beautiful project integrated not only with the landscape but also with the villages life style and for helping the locals in a sustained way. I was lucky that Bali Eco Stay had no bungalows available for all the nights, because that gave me the opportunity to stay at the Alit's Family Homestay in the village and experience a Balinese village lifestyle. Alit and Ayu were great hosts, not to mention their son (Agus) always keen to show the surroundings and the never ending rice fields in exchange for some English words. I was just so looking for this and I´ve got it here at Bali Eco Stay-

We spent 4 wonderful days up here in the north west, away from traffic, away from the beach and deep in nature! The rice paddy walk was a highlight and we felt like we had totally tuned out. Staff friendly and helpful and food tasty and prepared with conscience and care. John, the owner, very interesting to talk to and he is doing much more than just running an eco stay. He is looking after the interests of the surrounding land and definitely helping the local community whom have had to transition out of cocoa farming with the fungus that has affected the crop! We mountain biked up Mount Batukaru, swam in the fresh spring stream and loved the accommodation that had us sleeping above the stream with no fixed 4th wall. If you are looking to tune out, this is the paradise you are looking for.

to describe this experience. This resort has it all. Amazing views, their own waterfall, swimming in pure spring water, hydro electricity, organic garden, very good food, rice fields, forests, lovely villas, very very good staff and very friendly owners plus two dogs, Ash and Buddha who accompanied us on most of the many walks that we did. No other resort on Bali has all that in one package. Could not find a negative but will try next time we visit. Thank you John, Cath, Huey and all the staff. Well done.
