We stayed last week at this amazing hotel , beautiful surroundings wish we had stayed longer than our two nights. Food is absolutely exquisite, room was wonderful. What a peaceful relaxing place, little piece of paradise. Staff are friendly but not intrusive. Highest recommendation, just want to return!

We stayed at Ayung resort for 3 nights during our recent trip to Bali. we had picked this hotel as i wanted to do some yoga plus the reviews were good.
this is a very new property that started its operations from November 2012 so it is very clean and nice. it is located a bit out of Ubud and is in rain forest hence the beautiful mesmerizing views, you can hear the birds in the morning. there are buggies to take guests from one place to another within the resort.
The service is excellent- the girl at the reception do not remember her name was too good . few bits that i must point out are we never got a welcome drink, not that the welcome drink at 1 AM at night would help us but would have been a nice gesture- something that probably the shift staff missed out on.

the breakfast was wholesome like all hotels in Bali it was ala carte - and i specifically loved the museli and the carrot juice.
the huge statues of Hindu Gods & goddess are a little too much at the reception area though. they must reduce it...gets a bit scary . we had got a killer room view- the room was huge. we had initially booked for a superior room however they upgraded us from superior to a deluxe room, a little gift as we were on our honeymoon. every night we would receive cute chocolates placed on our bed, this was seriously so thoughtful...
the service tops in all aspects- it is the best.
the spa is too good, i had got a Balinese massage and my husband got a reflexology treatment- both were super. a must try while you are staying here.

Dear Sanazah,

First of all we would like to thank you, for taking the time to post a review about our beautiful resort.

Your kind words for our resort will go a long way for me to keep my staff motivated in even to try harder.

Your comment regarding the welcome drink was indeed an oversight from the night shift and corrective action has been taken.

Our lobby is indeed full with art works as this is the private collection from the owners. As soon as our next wing on the south side of the resort will be finished that will be balanced out.

Looking forward to welcome you back to our resort at your next visit to Ubud,

With Kind Regards,
Frits Henskes

My wife and I recently stayed at the Ayung Resort as part of our honeymoon trip. Putting it as simply as possible, we didn't want to leave as it was by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. We stayed at two other hotels in Bail, one in Ubud that was twice as expensive, that didn't even come close to the Ayung. This was due to the beautiful surroundings of its amazing location... but the staff here are just incredible. Everyone knew us by name and it felt as if we had the entire resort to ourselves due to the care attention we received. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we are already planning our next trip back there.
The food was fantastic and easily some of the best we tasted on the island. Also the Spa treatments we had were incredible - real attention to detail in everything about the hotel.
So, i'm sorry that we have missed a few names off but we would like to thank Budi, Sandi, Ari, Lara, Ony, Ayu, Albert, Rami, Elle, Ana, Parti, Fritz and everyone else who made our honeymoon a trip of a lifetime. Your kindness, charm and friendliness will stay with us for a long time... hopefully until we come back to visit you all again. Thank you.

Ayung Resort is a beautiful hotel. I’ve been back only a few days and already I’ve recommended it to several people. It’s surrounded by maintained gardens and jungle and astonishing artwork is everywhere. Massive stone and wood carvings adorn the property, inside and out. We spent an afternoon just walking around the property admiring everything on display. It is all arranged to feel extremely welcoming.

We stayed in the basic room and it far exceeded our expectations. The bed was massive, comfortable, and beautifully carved; we had a balcony overlooking the pool; and the bathroom was large, with both a shower and tub. Not to mention the espresso maker and milk steamer in our room. Yum!

The pool areas are lovely, there is yogo in the morning included in the price, and the included breakfasts are some of the best I’ve ever had, not to mention served with a wonderful view.

There were some small glitches. We asked for a wakeup call that didn’t happen. When we left towels on the floor they were hung up rather than replaced. The WIFI was in and out. And a pair of washing got misplaced (but then found). These are small things that may have happened because the hotel is fairly new – and all the issues were addressed directly by staff eager to please when the issues were brought to their attention.

Overall, this is a remarkable property. I would stay here again, and I would recommend anyone interested in the Ubud area to stay at Ayung Resort. The hotel, staff, and manager made our stay in Bali extremely special.

I stayed at this awesome resort for five nights after a business trip in Bali in early May. The place is beautiful, staff very friendly, facilities suberb. They are still developing the property which already now is extra ordinary, e,g, the arts collection is something you would not expect to find in the middle of jungle. The a la carte breakfast will knock you out with the quality and quantity, the F& staff pay attention to all the details. Make sure to sample the spa while you stay! Being a hotelier and after travelling the world intensively I can really recommend this resort to all those looking for peace of mind and relaxation.

We are a family of 4 travelling together. Our boys are 18 and nearly 21 and spent 2 nights at the Ayung Resort in August.

Our room was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in and very unique. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Arjuna Villa with its own private infinity pool and it was absolutely stunning. Paradise on earth. The who,e Villa was beautiful with 2 very large identical bedrooms and bathrooms. The lounge area was very spacious and came complete with all mod cons. The coffe machine was a great touch as was the complimentary bar.

Our butler Wisna was fabulous and very keen to help make out stay at the resort as pleasant as could be. We actually found all the staff to be outstanding, happy, and very well trained. Oni who worked in the Restaurant was fabulous and pulled on the heart strings of my son!

We ate at the Hotel and was surprised at just good the food was. Breakfast was great, lunch delicious and the evening meal just divine. The beef we had was some of the finest I have ever tasted and cooked to perfection. The wine list as well as the Champagne list was good with a wide selection on offer.

We were welcomed by the Manager Fritz who we found to be outstanding and a extremely charming gentleman who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. There to make sure that our stay was perfect and all our requirements met. This he did in a totally controlled manner and exceeded all of our expectations.

We will for sure visit the Ayung Resort again. Thank You so much Fritz and all your team you made us all very welcome and we will take with us such fabulous memories of our time spent in paradise.

The Ayung Resort is now our own little piece of heaven with the door shut!

Thank you all again for an amazing time.

The Ayung Resort is an absolutely beautiful choice for accomm in Ubud. set on 20 acres of gorgeous jungle/rainforest. The staff went well beyond expectations in anticipating and meeting any needs we had. The restaurant offers delicious 5 star food at good prices. Not as cheap as eating in street restaurants but the view and service combined with the creative and beautifully presented food makes it well worth the little extra. Brekky was Devine with a blend of western and Balinese options to try... Free yoga sessions each morning overlooking the jungle followed by a swim in the perfectly maintained pool and grounds, or a workout in the quality gym, a perfect way to start the day. We decided to spend all 5 days of our stay in Bali here at the resort rather than bothering to explore as it was just so beautiful. Perfect relaxation.

Room Tip: We stayed in the superior room which was their cheaper option and were extremely happy. The villas...
