this was our first dinning experience at Cafe Verona. We used the Open Table reservation system to secure a table. it worked perfectly. The building was nestled on the South side of the historic Independence Square. Parking was free and plentiful. The area felt safe.
The entrance was easy to find and our greeting was warm and friendly. Our server was spot on. She knew the menu and was very attentive (never had to ask for a drink refill).
The wife had Chicken Mac & Cheese which was really good. I had Shrimp Scampi in white sauce. The shrimp were huge and plentiful. the noodles were moist and sauced just right. Our son had meatballs off the kids menu (which had a good selection). the salad and soup were also spot on....try the tomato basil soup... we did and it was a real treat.
All the food was hot and tasted freshly prepared..much better experience than expected when your used to chain Italian restaurants... and we spent less money. we will definitely be back.
