Bad things first. The place is a bit run down... not sure what to point at as an example; it's just that the whole hotel as a old feel to it. The room was fairly large, but the AC was loud and positioned right next to the desk (uncofortable when it turned on while you were trying to work). One of the elevators was being fixed, so the remaining one was overused and took forever. But what took the cake in this category was the internet connection: exasperatingly, ridiculously slow. I know I've been spoiled at home and other places by having fast internet, so it may seem petty of me to single this out as a "bad." But the connection was honestly as slow as I can remember it when we all had dial-up connections. And, on top of that, the connection would just fail routinely.
On the "good" column, I have two biggies: price and location. This hotel is about pretty close to Kansas City, and at less than $100 a night, it's a bargain. Very convenient. Service was nice. There's a beautiful running trail that starts right behind the property. Last but not least, as is usual in Hilton hotels, the sleep quality is wonderful.
