My boyfriend and I had a 2 week holiday in Bali and wanted to visit Lembongan so we booked our stay at Coconuts and our travel to the island before we left the UK with Bali Discovery - www.balidiscovery.com. The hotel doesn't have their own website and there are only a couple of websites where you can book to stay here. For 1 nights accomodation (b&b) and travel by fast boat to and from the island only cost us £79.00 between us. This is a lot cheaper than the tour operators were selling the trip for in Sanur, Bali.
The hotel used to have fan rooms with no windows and aircon rooms with windows. Please be aware that the resort has now done away with the fan rooms, they now all have windows although they still don't all have aircon.
The resort is a short 5 min walk from where the fast boot drops you off on the beach, it's set on a hill with great views over the bay.
The rooms are clean but very very basic and the bathrooms are in a definate need for an update, we were only staying one night so it didn't really bother us but if we were staying any longer it may have.
The pool area was clean and well looked after, and we really enjoyed being able to take a dip in the infinity pool with a nice cold Bintang beer in our hand and overlook the bay.
Staff were polite and the breakfast was nice - eggs cooked fresh to order, fresh fruit, toast, yogurts, tea & coffee.
There is the main beach where you come in and also smaller beaches close by that we visited. We met a local who took us out on his boat snorklling all around the island for the day which I would definitely recommend, he stopped at mushroom beach which was pretty so we could have lunch at a nice little seafood restaurant. We paid 300,000 indonesian rupiah for this.
Lembongan Island is definitely worth a visit and if we were to return we would definitely stay at Coconuts again, this is a 3 star hotel in Indonesia and not in Europe so the standards are different, you pay for what you get, don't go expecting 5* star service but you can definitely look forward to a pleasant stay.
