“Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We loved staying here. We felt completely safe. My partner last visited Bali in 2011 (before the first series of bombs). He was very impressed by the security presence everywhere you go. The Stones' had several security methods in place to make you feel safe and the security were friendly. Infact the whole staff were accommodating and friendly.

We had a room with a pool view and bath on the balcony. This was a highlight for me. The bath came with a selection of bath salts and bath bombs which made it really special. Privacy can be found if you close the curtains. At sunset there was always a DJ or Saxophone player, fire dancer o keep you intrigued.

The breakfast buffet was excellent and provided a wide range of choice.

We stayed in three locations this trip and this was by far our favorite.

My friend and I stayed at the stones from June 28th to July 9th straight away we were upgraded to a plunge pool room which was amazing.
The staff here are amazing nothing is too much to ask for the staff are so helpful and speak English very well.
Breakfast was the best I've ever had and the beds were soo comfortable we called our bed the cloud.
The only negatives are
The fridge is located within a cupboard when the cupboard door was closed the heat from the fridge was very hot and was trapped within the cupboard which then made it impossible for the fridge to cool once this was figured out we left the door opened and the fridge was cool but each day after our room was cleaned the door was then shut again so this was very frustrating when you want a cold beer.
The other negative was the shower you need to run the shower for 10-15mins first to get the shower warm if you don't do this you will be having a cold shower.
Besides my two negatives the positives far out way the negatives I have travelled to Bali 12 times now and have never stayed at the same Hotel twice but I would definitely stay here again and the location is great close to quite a few fine restaurants ,markets and the beach is just across the road.

We booked our last two nights in Bali at this hotel as our first night was spent at Nusa Dua. We did this because we wanted to experience the Kuta Area. Area is in legian, in a quieter part but not a far walk from the busier part of central Kuta. Right in front of the hotel across the street is the famous surf beach. Seminyak, with all its boutique shops, is also close. There are lots of restaurants, bars and convenience stores nearby. This is a modern looking hotel. My favorite is the pool area which is large and feels very relaxing. The rooms are very clean. I just find the bathroom unusual as they separated the toilet area and the bath area. I think they did this to save space. They have rooms with bath tubs and jacuzzis in the balcony. They also have very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is average with limited choices, although they have a wide selection of fresh fruit juices. Overall, We were very satisfied with this hotel and we are highly recommending it.

In June 2013, we stayed here with our 5 and 8 years old kids for 2 nights. Firstly we asked for extra bed and they gave us for free! But extra bed can only be in corner room, which is more spacious. We had to walk a bit far to our room, but it's ok...

Bed is very nice !
Pool is fantastic ! Lovely place to chill and relax...
Breakfast is Good !
Service is Good ! Asked for more pillows,linens..., served well...
Kid's Club is Good too ! Our kids enjoyed spending time there...
Security..., hmmm... Excellent...., but sometime a bit long waiting the securities checking all details.

Overall we were satisfied and had a great time!

We have just spent five days at The Stones in a pool view room, enjoying the bath on the balcony. Room, breakfast and service was excellent. In fact breakfast was probably the best we have had in many trips to Bali. Staff were always attentive and quick to respond to any enquiries. The only downside is the location. At the Kuta end of Legian can be tricky. when coming from Seminyak, we asked taxis to drop us in Melasti Street (near the Megani Hotel) we then simply walked the 100m around the corner to the Stones. Otherwise it can add 30min to the journey negotiating through Kuta and then back along the beach.

Room Tip: We loved the pool view room, though was a little noisy around happy hour

My husband and I stayed at The Stones Hotel to attend a conference being held there. Over the four days of our stay the service we received was excellent, whether at reception, restaurants, bar, housekeeping or at the conference. All the staff were professional, friendly and very happy to provide good service. In particular Giri at reception, Ani, Kormang, Titus and especially Dewa the Restaurant Manager, who seemed always to be there overseeing everything and offering excellent service helped make our stay memorable. We really enjoyed the food, especially the Indonesian menu. The staff at the spa and the massages were also very good.

Room Tip: an upgrade to a poolview room is definitely worth it

We stayed at this hotel from 18 May 2013 for 4 nights with my wife and 2 adult sons. This Marriott-managed property is nice, the layout is excellent and quiet. The check-in and comfort of the rooms were great. The breakfast spread is super. The rooms we got were the inside-facing rooms, which they offered to upgrade for a price to a pool-facing room, which we declined as the price was too high. However, the bath-tubs are there only in the pool-facing rooms in the balcony! The shower cubicles have these odd knobs to turn on (and off) the water, which are impossible to grip with soaped hands. Overall, enjoyed our stay there. Got a good last-minute deal on Agoda.

Room Tip: The pool-facing rooms are better, but priced a little higher.
