“Beautiful room with excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

Chose this place due to its reasonable price. Not just the room rates but also the room service and spa services.
We were given a welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival. Check-in is a breeze. We sat at the sofa enjoying our drink while the staff does the check-in for us.
I booked the magani suite for my wife's birthday.
Upon reaching the room, I was greatly impressed by the cleanliness and condition of the room. Things are well-maintained and new. The bell boy took the effort to explain the facilities around the hotel and the things available in the room. That's a good practise which I don't get in other hotels that I have stayed in.
Funny thing is there is no conditioner in the toilet so you have to bring it yourself.
During the day, the aircon took a while to cool the room down. Prob cos it's big and warm outside.
Beverages in the room is complimentary except for the things in the chiller. Free Wi-Fi in the room.
Large TV with cable shows but reception is kinda poor.
Bed was okay but not so stable. Knock sound at the initial sitting on the bed. King size bed with 4 pillows so I use one as bolster.
Room service is awesome. Price is very reasonable and the food is good. I love the BBQ Spare ribs and tiramisu. Very nice!!!
Location is pretty okay. Out of the entrance turn left and walk abt 5-10min is the kuta beach. We walk to beachwalk mall in fact...
Out of the entrance turn right is another hotel with coffee bean and further down is another lane of spa, shopping, 7-11 and restaurants.

Room Tip: Stayed at 4052. This suite is facing at the rooftop of other buildings and at the other end of the h...

Driving upto the Magani Hotel and Spa I was immediately impressed by the facilities and the hotel staff at the front. Arriving early, I was given a refresher towel and nice orange drink while they arranged everything for me which I sat and relaxed (which was nice after a 3 hour drive down from Tulamben).
Once my room was ready, my bags were taken up for me and I was shown all the features of the room. Having a room on the top floor (5th floor) with a balcony that overlooks the pool was nice. Even the day bed out on the balcony is a nice feature.
The pool is situated right in the middle of the hotel and only gets a few hours sunshine but that wasnt an issue as you can always go to the beach if you want more sun (which is just a 5 min walk). There is also a pool bar at one end of the pool for those wishing to enjoy a refreshing drink and too lazy to get out... :)
The food from room service was fast, tasty and well priced.
Only complaints I would have is the thinish walls (can hear people in the next room - but hard not to when they are consistently clearing their throat) and that the fridge isnt cold enough (not a real clear place to make it colder either).
Overall my stay at the Magani Hotel and Spa was very enjoyable indeed and would come back again.

Room info:

Bed... Excellent
Shower.... Excellent
TV... Great size and good variety of TV stations
AC... Good (maybe needed a 3rd speed that was a bit slower)
Amenities... Good (shower cap, toothbrush, shampoo, body wash, soap)

Checked in at about 10pm and was served with fruit juice while waiting for the reception to check us in. Staff were friendly and polite. The place was clean and very spacious. Lobby was non airconditioned.

Hotel room was very spacious too, with a large Samsung tv screen. There’s a balcony to hang your wet laundry outside and a sofa for you to rest. From the balcony, you can look below to the pool which is located on the 1st floor.

Hotel is located not too far from Kuta beach with a 10-15 min walking distance. My room was located next to the road hence I can hear beeping of taxis, cars/motorbikes whenever they pass by the hotel. It can get quite irritating if you are trying to fall asleep. Try to choose the room which is not located next to the road.

There are various nearby cafes and stalls selling local clothings and souvenirs.

Overall, hotel is great

Room Tip: Choose the room not located next to the road

Stayed on the Premier Pool Room from 28/01/2014 to 31/01/2014. The experience was great!

About the Hotel:
This place is very new and everything is very very clean. You can see the staffs cleaning the hotel all the time. The main pool has a pool bar with seats in the pool. The pool in the room is relatively small but it is very relaxing. Can lay in the pool during the night and watch the bright stars. Very nice. You can buy floats to use in your private pool. Just remember to negotiate the price as the opening price usually quoted at a very high side.

The breakfast is quite standard with fresh juices, coffees etc. They also serve cappuccino during breakfast and it is on the house. In terms of food, the tastiest food I tried in the hotel is their Mie Goreng (Indonesian Fried Noodle). It is not expensive estimated USD4-5 per serving.

The massage and spa is also good. As a hotel guest, you can use the Jacuzzi and Sauna free of charge. Most guest usually go to the spa outside the hotel so there are lesser people using the Jacuzzi and Sauna. In term of massage in the hotel, it cost estimated USD10-12 per person for an hour. Massage parlor outside the hotel is definitely cheaper but the environment is also different.

Surrounding Area:
The hotel is located near to Kuta Beach and along the way there are many shops. However if you need money changer, please do not go to the small shops for exchange especially those shops selling stuffs cum money changer. There are many scammers. Some offered you higher exchange rate but they will exchange your money with a stack of small change which is lower than the promised rate. They use the stack of small change to trick to you in accepting them as some people are lazy to count or miscalculate. In fact, I am one of them and I lost IDR80,000.00 at one of the shops.

Just opposite the hotel, there is shop selling babi guling (roasted pork) which is a famous dish in Bali. Turn left go to the beach and right to shops. Along the beach there are many shops and restaurants. Most of the local food restaurant are nice.

Overall a very pleasant stay in Bali and will definitely will go again!

When I booked the hotel I was not aware it's in kuta. Kuta is super crowded , touristy and has a strong Australian influence. The hotel is nicely done up with regular amenities. Great location .Very close to eating joints, beach ( which I would avoid) and on the main road so easy to hail a cab. The welcome and departure drinks were nice. The Spa is very good SVD worth it. ( esp. The Balinese massage.)

Im actually checking out of Magani Hotel right now :)

Im here for honeymoon and stayed in Magani Hotel for 3Nights (1.2.14-4.2.14). We were upgraded to a beautiful pool facing deluxe suite(room 4046) w a big bedroom spacious bathroom, huge balcony w daybed n jacuzzi in e balcony.Really grateful and pleased w e hotel's arrangement. But note that e toilet floor has been so well polished it gets pretty slippery when wet.

E room and hotel are very clean. The hotel is peaceful and not overcrowded. Love all their staffs as they are very friendly n cheerful n helpful. Also love that we were served mixed fruit juices while waiting to chk in and out at e lobby.
I love to spend my noon napping on e daybed when its too hot to go out. Sound water fountain warmth from e sun and light breeze sent me to LaLa land fast... late noon will hang by e pool n ending e night w a hot soak in jacuzzi.

Highly reccomended this hotel!

my second trip to bali, we booked our entire trip of 11 nights here based on the trip advisor reviews and it was worth every dollar. will definitely be back.
situated on jalan melasti we had everything we wanted within walking distance, and i don't like to walk! less than 30,000idr ($3aud) taxi to waterbom/discovery. and less than 20,000idr back, and around 25,000idr to places like kuta square, hard rock and beachwalk.
the hotel staff are just amazing, everyone from room staff, reception, the pool boys, travel desk, restaurant staff and especially the security guys who will look after you - make sure you only get in a bluebird taxi. i asked them where the best place to change money was, they made sure we went to the reputable place inside the indomart rather than the dodgy guy on the street.
i couldn't recommend this place high enough, and are planning to be back in 12 months
the mozzarella restaurant in the hotel is great, though if you want cheap, good value for money, mostly western meals be sure to check out Sheppies, about 50m towards the beach, we ate there most nights.

PROS:
-Great value for money
-good location, can do all the typical bali shopping (sunnies, singlets, shorts, dresses, shirts etc. within 200m of the hotel)
-tours desk are brilliant
-buffet breakfast is great western with a little bit of local
-room is cleaned/beds made/towels changed dailey
-housekeeping spray the room for mosquitos nightly, even though we were there in wet season and only saw one mosquito in the room for the entire 11 nights
-pool and pool bar are great
-complementary bottled water in the room, refilled every time housekeeping entered the room
-spa is great, worth every bit more than what it is down the street

CONS- just to be picky
-Balconies only have one little day bed/chair, which was pretty inconvenient if we wanted to sit out there and have a few drinks.
-room is lacking power points, not a huge issue but bring a power board if you want to chage a couple of phones and a tablet
-the shower smells funny for the first 45 seconds or so, have to run it and leave the room then come back to it. might have just been our room
-room floor tiles are VERY slippery when wet, condensation build up caused my unsuspecting girlfriend to have a hard fall.
-laundry cost is pretty expensive
-pool only gets 4 hours of sun a day (10am-2pm)

these cons should in no way influence you not to stay at the Magani.

Room Tip: ask for a pool view room away from the road. we stayed in 4003 and anything on that side of the hote...
