My friend and I visited Bali for a week and found PIPS on our first day. After our first treatment we were both very satisfied and when asked if we would please return we were both very keen to and ended up back there at the end of the day. This became a highlight of our day and the staff would great us with a smile every time we came in the doors. The rooms were clean, quiet, and the staff didn't talk to each other in the sessions.
By about the 4th day, we got the feeling the staff were laughing at us for coming in so often but dismissed it as we didn't really know what they were saying. All the treatments were very good including the back and head massages, Balinese massages, Hot stone, manicures, and pedicures.
However, on the fifth day we visited I was quite disappointed with the service. The girl giving my massage asked me if it was hard enough and I asked her to do it a little harder which she seemed to be annoyed by. She was quite rough with her movements and having had many massages before this one I knew this was not normal. She had long nails that kept digging in to me so much so I wasn't relaxed so I had my eyes open. This was when I noticed that she was wearing my Havaiana thongs while giving me the massage!! I gave her the benefit of the doubt in not saying something immediately just in case she did happen to have the same shoes as me but when she had finished and I had got dressed she was back to wearing her own footwear and mine were back where I left them.
I felt that this was extremely unprofessional and explained my disappointment to the male staff member at the counter. I'm not sure if he completely understood what I was saying as he did not seem to take it very seriously but he said he would speak to her about her nails. I was really quite annoyed at the way it had been dismissed and we decided not to return the following day. The last day in Bali we went back to PIPS and had another great massage but nothing was said of the previous incident. In my opinion: Go to PIPS, just hide your shoes!!!!!!

Thank you for your review and your return visits to Pips. Re the issues with nails and shoes i have emailed the reviewer twice and am waiting for information so i can follow up who the therapist was and discuss the matter with her/him. If this happened it is not acceptable and the matter will be dealt with immediately. Re staff laughing about customer returning on 4th visit i am sure that was not intended as a negative we are so so happy to have return customers as this is definitely one way of us knowing we are doing something right.
