“modern, clean hotel with friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

If you want to be in thick of it in the Legian / Kuta strip then this a great new hotel to stay at. The beach is a short walk down Jalan Benesari (turn left outside the hotel) and on the way you pass The Balcony which serves nice food and is a well known 'secret' spot.

As the hotel is still relatively new, I stayed in March 2013 so it's clean and not yet overrun with guests. The top levels appeared to be unfinished (roof terrace bar / spa) but it was open and ideal for a sunset drink. I stayed on level one which had a dark corridor, it felt safe and was fine but it was just a bit odd and had the smell of butchers... :(

Very comfy king size bed and although the bathroom was small you could watch the TV from the shower! Room service is available however there are plenty of options to choose from just outside on Jalan Legian.

The room rate was with included breakfast and had all the typical offerings of the big hotels and villa's in Bali (fresh fruit, pancake, eggs anyway, rice dishes, cereals etc).

Room Tip: If you're departing to the airport from this hotel or a side street off Jalan Legian, allow abou...

We've had a delightful stay at Akmani. The location is fantastic and the staff is very nice, always greeting us with a smile. There were a few difficulties with language barriers. Be careful in asking yes/no questions as many times they would respond with an affirmative but not have any idea about the request. They have no concierge service and cannot recommend restaurants or activities. Best to do your own research. The restaurant in the hotel leaves something to be desired, yet there are enough other places to eat in the area that it didn't present a problem. The morning breakfast is quite good and served from 6am through 11am which is quite convenient. It is a short 5-10 min walk to the beach and a very comfortable hotel. I would recommend it highly as good value for the price.

We stayed here for 5nights we usually stay in seminyak but we thought we would try legian we booked a delux pool villa which means you walk out of your room and straight into the pool. However when we first got there they didn't put us in the right room even know we confirmed it with reservations, got moved to the correct room the next day.

The room was great nice and big the only downfall was there is a lot of building going on in legian and there was a new hotel getting built next door so if you wanted to sleep after 9am no chance. The hotel itself was still in construction too which we were not told when we booked it so one of the restaurants was not completed and so you could here some of his being finished too.

Staff were friendly and the food was great the roof top bar was good at night away from the hussle and bussel and because the hotel is still new no one knows about it, prices on drinks are a little expensive though.

once this hotel is finished I think it will be a great place to stay.

I've been here for 5 days now, and I keep extending my stay. The hotel is very clean, offers comfortable rooms and is close to everything. The staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. They even made me a cake for my birthday! If you want a view, get an upgraded room, or you'll be facing a wall as others have mentioned. There's a rooftop bar with a swim-up pool that offers a really nice view of the sunsets as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. I may never leave.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is great, if you want to be in the heart of Kuta, and everthing is within walking distance. Including the beach. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel is new, the pool is great, and the upstairs bar and pool, called Horizon Point, if fantastic! Its also open till 12 pm, which is great for a late night drink and swim. The only negative, was breakfast, which was still ok but I have had better at other hotels. For the price, the hotel is excellent value and I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Stay away from the pool area if you want it to be as quiet as possible.

We stayed here for a few nights to party in Kuta. We had previously been staying in private villas but this was perfect as we were not going to be lazing around the hotel much. The room was clean and tidy although a little small with a view of a wall, literally. But it was great for what we needed it for... A place to sleep off a hangover. The shower was a lil temperamental, not knowing if it wanted to be freezing cold or boiling hot. We had cable tv and an in room safe which was great. All the staff were lovely and the pool was really nice. Also the location is smack bang in the middle of town, extemely close to all the clubs and pubs! We left satisfied but couldn't wait to get out of Kuta and back to another private villa on the beach. But that's just us...

Room Tip: Get a room which opens to the pool or has a balcony. Otherwise you have a view of a wall...

I stayed 5 nights for holidays. On 1st March Vertical point was opened for hotel guests and public with famous DJ. Only few hotels in Bali you can have roof top viewing for sunset and have drinks, Akmani was one of them.
The staffs were welcome you with big smiles and assist you in need it.
Hotel breakfast was just perfect for what you want to have at morning.
If you come back from Kuta beach to hotel by walking you can find a lot of shops and nice restaurants.

Room Tip: Get the pool view room for nice view and relax.
