“Perfect Start to our Honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Nice and close to the hustle and bustle of Kuta (if that's what you like!), but within the walls of the resort it's a different story. It is so serene! Biggest and freshest breakfast buffet I have seen in my life, pristine gardens, superb and extremely efficient service, huge range of amenities, fitness services, restaurants, pools, bars and services. Thank you Padma - brilliant start to our honeymoon!!

Its a very good , well managed hotel with large grounds and pools . Very nice gym , lagoon pool and tropical grounds . Delicous and varied breakfast . It had more character than i was expecting . Quiet with comfortable beds . Slightly dissapointing frontage to beach , i think they should try to connect the hotel to beach area with some landscaping needed , it feels a bit disconnected from beach unlike some nearby hotels like Legian beach hotel that are more open to the beach area .

I travelled with 2 friends to this beautiful Resort. It was simply the best place i had ever stayed. Staff were so beautiful and every aspect of the resort was excellent, cant wait to go back.
It was in a great spot, with everything you would need for a luxurious holiday, right on the beach and backing up to all the shops in Legian.

What a breathtaking resort. Best resort i have ever stayed in.We had a room overlooking the lagoon pool which was breathtaking.Very friendly staff when you arrive at the resort they had a nice cold drink waiting for you and immediately looked after your luggage up to your room with some nice fresh fruit.Gardens absolutely first class and all grounds very well looked after.Breakfast out of this world no need for lunch.Very friendly staff always smiling and they always had time to talk to you.Pools and restaurants which included a Japanese and Italian restaurant plus two other restaurants were excellent. No1 resort in Bali.

Room Tip: Rooms where you walk out into the lagoon pool excellent position for noise and weather

Thank you Padma for a wonderful holiday - we have just returned from a fortnight's stay and are happy to report that this resort lived up to expectations. Great location on the beach, beautiful gardens, breakfast feasts and good value food at the pools, Deli and restaurants. The Deli's Tutti Fruitty Berry Salad is delicious and it was generous of the chef to share the recipe with me. We especially appreciated that the service charge and government taxes are included in all prices quoted unlike other hotels and restaurants.
As many others have said, The Padma is made special by the staff - from the security people at the entries, to gardeners, wait and reception staff, the welcome and the smiles are genuine. Our special thanks to lovely Nita and Wanda in the restaurant, to Partika and Juno at the pool and to Ari, who kept our chalet spotless and left smiles with his towel sculptures.
The Padma creates a secure, happy, peaceful environment in Legian's chaos and we very much look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Chalet 746 was in a good central spot and we enjoyed being on the upper floor.

We stayed at The Padma for 2 and a half weeks, and also got married there in their Presidential Suite Villa.
We could not have picked a better resort, the Padma is just beautiful, the grounds are immaculate - the upkeep is that thorough that literally when so much as a leaf falls on the ground its instantly swept up. As we had quite a few Bali first timers so the resort was perfect for them as its so safe and peaceful inside, a step away from the bali madness outside! We were upgraded to a Deluxe Chalet which was huge, the shower could have fit 10 people easy! Though we were shown the other room options and they were all good. The food was just awesome, breakfast was the best we've had in Bali the selection and service was great. We spent just under a year planning our wedding here also, using Nancy the resorts wedding planner, she was just amazing and such a calming influence. The day went perfectly and was more than we could ever have dreamed of.. Thanks Padma for making our wedding one to remember, we will be back!

Room Tip: The Deluxe Chalet rooms have wooden sliding doors on the patio which make your room total darkness...

We visited the Padma as a family of 5 & 7 yo boys and mum in an interconnecting Family Garden Club Chalet room and my mum in her own 1br Garden Club Chalet. We had a ground floor, interconnecting rooms, very clean, a bit tired looking, good bathrooms. The bathrooms have a weird roof over the shower - semi-open which means you can hear conversations in the bathroom upstairs - somewhat inconvenient and potentially very embarrassing!! Also, given the rooms have timber floors, you can hear people upstairs walking around. This was very annoying as above us were 3 small kids under the age of 4 or 5, who woke at 6am each morning and RAN non-stop! It was like a herd of elephants overhead!

The swimming pools were fantastic - one meandering, quieter pool, about 1.5m depth throughout, lots of steps, some waterfalls, great pool bar and kids pool area. More suited to adults though and quite cold water - very refreshing. Nice poolside furniture - plenty of lounges and good umbrellas/shade. I liked the flags on each table where if raised, the staff would come to you for drink/food orders - very good idea. The other main pool was large and probably 2m at deepest point. Great pool bar, lots of lounges and umbrellas - always found a seat but wise to go early to grab your preferred position. Could get noisy in afternoon as the crowds came in, but lots of fun.

Buffet breakfast at main restaurant - mostly good, a bit hit and miss. Quite varied with Asian cuisines well covered along with the more Aussie/European favs. Great pikelets! One big downside for us was the coffee - either percolated jug (bleurgh) or you had to PAY for a cappucino/latte!! Not what i expected in a 4 1/2 start property. Bella Rosa restaurant - breakfast included if you are a Club Guest - much better and didn't have to pay for capps. Dinner here was also very good.

Wolly Kids Club - pretty good - my guys enjoyed themselves, but as most of the kids were younger than them, not as much fun for them.

Mandara Spa - excellent! What a great spa. Clearly having to compete with all the cheaper spas outside the hotel has meant they need to be price competitive. So you get the convenience of in-house accessibility, excellent treatments, gorgeous spa space and good prices. My 2hr20min Ultimate Indulgence Package cost $140AUD, but as I booked in the morning, received a 20% discount - extremely good value and an excellent treatment - loved it.

Bonus was the free WiFi in the rooms and in the Garden Club Lounge! Made it very easy to call home, use internet/Facebook/kids games on iPhone and iPad.

We would stay again at the Padma Resort.

Room Tip: Upper rooms in Garden Chalets are quieter
