“Excellent value for money, very good service! Will definitively return.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2010

We have stayed in various villas in the Seminyak area, but I can say that anakula was our most pleasant stay. The villa itself is very spacious with two large bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, one half open livingroom with kitchen and a big swimming pool. And also important, the garden isnt very enclosed, so you get sun for a large part of the day.

Since Anakula only has 3 villas you dont have the feeling that you are closed in on a holiday park. Note; there is no 'room service. Also no official' reception area (only a guards house), so if you are looking for contact with other tourists, this isnt a pro, I guess. But most people who rent a villa, do it also because of privacy.

Staff is very helpful; when our bag (with passport) was stolen in the shopping street of Seminyak, the manager went with us to the police station, even though it was a very important religious holiday. Without her, we couldnt have made our return flight).

The cleanliness is very good as is the location (quite near to double six beach). Only thing about the location is the dirt road outside the villa (when it rains, it gets muddy), but this wasnt a problem for us, since we rented a motor bike.

Also very pleasant was the price; compared to other villas we stayed in, Anakula is excellent value for money.

We will definitively return!

we really enjoyed staying in Anakula Villas. the location is on a nice place around 5min by motobike from double six. there is a mini market (open 24h) about 2min by motobike. the villa itself is nice, clean and the rooms are huge. the pool is big enough to swim.

we had only one an electricity problem and nobody couldn't help us. but i have to say, that the blackout was over all seminyak.

i really would like going again to villa anakula

one last tipp: the staff of villa anakula will organize a motobike for you. i recommend having a motobike in bali. it's very convenient.

Have to say the staff were good but the location of this villa is not the best. Extremely muddy road - took our driver quite some time to find. There are no signs whatsoever advertizing the Villa's name. Sour smell of sewerage coming from each bathroom and doors difficult to lock. On a positive note the rooms are generous, clean and comfortable with a great pool and total privacy. Was very disappointed overall.

Where do I start ,what a great find. I have stayed at The Villa De Daun which is top of the range villa in legian but we enjoyed the Anakula Villas just as much. The Villas are spotless, the staff discreet, everything is new and modern. The beds are comfy the bathrooms are huge as is the pool.
The villas are off a small lane which can be a bit tricky when it rains but hey its Bali
easy come, easy go.
We enjoyed our stay so much I'm going back there in October 2010.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the villas - only wish I was still there

Just back from bali where we stayed in "anakula villas" seminyak (villa dua) for 5 nights, that was a perfect trip if i may say so.... We stayed there with a couple of other friends , the shape of the villa is just perfect for that kind of "sharing" as each room is at both edge of the living areas , the open bathrooms are just great , and the beds are more comfy than many high stars ranking hotels.... The staff was very helpfull and always ready to make our stay realy enjoyable.... The location is 3 mn walking distance from the legian road (main road of seminyak) , it was very easy to get a taxi any time day and night... In one word , anakula villa is one the best value i ever had in bali (allready the 5th time i go there... so if i go back again to bali (i love that island so much) i'll definitely book anakula again...

we went in Anakula for 10 days begining of december. It is, in our opinion, a really good place to stay. The staff was lovely and very helpful. we had a very good time. We were worried reading the previous comment regarding water and cleanliness but we did not found any of it.
we had great holidays, the villas are realy stylish, close to the beach and the shops. it was really good to us.

It's hard to describe this place as it looks so lovely on the internet and is brand new but there are so many things wrong with Anakula. First of all, it's in a terrible location, down a dirt lane with motorbike work shops and laundry hanging every where, would hate to try to walk any where after a heavy down pour and would definitely not walk around this area at night. We stayed 2 nights of a 21 night stay but had to move as it was definitely not up to scratch. The major problem was the plumbing, it smelt like sewerage, none of us could stand the smell whilst having a showers or using any running water, the TV was not programed, the hot and cold drinking water machine was not working, the locks on the bedroom doors were flimsy and felt quite unsafe and were very difficult to lock, the aircon in the bedrooms were useless for the size of the rooms so very stuffy and uncomfortably warm. The so called security guards did not speak English and was far to young should a problem arise and spent most of his time asleep or watching TV. The Villa did not have a name on the front of the building and caused huge problems for guests arriving in the middle of the night, but that's another story. Our Villa copped the full afternoon sun which hit the back wall of the main living area, it was unbearably hot with no escape except into the bedrooms, could not even sit on the lounge suite or at the dining room table as they were in full sun. The tiles on the steps leading into the pool were dangerously slippery as one of the guest soon discovered and made entering the pool extremely difficult and dangerous. Such a disappointing experience but luckily they found us another Villa and a wonderful Bali holiday was had by all.
