“Beware!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

We stayed at this hotel from 23rd to 29th December 2011. The staff are friendly, welcoming and do the best they possibly can for you but are restricted by an obvious lack of care and cash injection into the hotel. The rooms are spacious but with no drawer space at all, the bathrooms are very tired but the towels - they are discraceful. Discoloured and frayed and smelly - an aroma of wet dog being the prevailing smell when we we were there! We had a good time becaise we were determined to but we would not recommend this hotel to anyone wanting any peace and quiet. The pool closes at 8 pm but if you are unlucky to have a room overlooking the pool you will soon find out that the staff are powerless to prevent drunken guests using the pool whenever they want and as the rooms have very thin glass in the windows, expect to be kept awake and then woken up at 6.30 am when breakfast starts along with loud music!! This hotel does not do the Ramada group any favours at all and the licensee operating it should be brought to task.

Room Tip: Avoid a room overlooking the pool

My brother and I stayed here 7th till 14th November and were treated like we were the first ever customers to this resort, all the staff were the most helpful from Breakfast through to Dinner even accessing the stairs and ramp. The Breakfast was just superb even down to the Vegemite on toast. The rooms were always cleaned and left in a very high standard, yes the towels were a little off white but the were always very clean and fresh and because of the inclement weather we had, I gave the pool staff advise to install a saltwater chlorinate to even help cut down their work we would stay here again with this being my second visit to Bali in as many years.

Note..... my brother is totally blind.

Room Tip: Ground Floor spot on

Dear Nilolas46.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, you were very quick in doing so. Personally it is never pleasing to receive such a negative review, after speaking with our AGM, and reviewing your booking information it appears that you were given the rooms and bed configuration that was requested, 3 rooms each with King size double bed.

It was only upon check in that your request was changed, as our AGM explained to you, due to our high occupancy with were unable to provide you with a twin room, what we did offer you was an extra bed placed in your room, which would have given one king and one single, affectively a twin room, you refused this offer, , if we had a twin room available then were would have been more than happy to provide you with a twin room.

Our AGM did everything that he could to provide you with your last minute request, it certainly wasn’t a case of the AGM refusing or not doing anything at all.

I am sorry that you feel our customer service is the “worst” and I sincerely hope that the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Kind Regards,
Stephen Jennings

Just want to share my experience from a year ago when we went to Ramada for honeymoon. We were welcome by a cute tub filled with pink and red rose petals that written I <3 U. Our cozy room is located on the third floor facing the swimming pool and restaurant. It was really nice. The food is excellent. We too had a free candle night dinner, a complimentary from the hotel as they were informed we went there for our honeymoon. We had a free spa and massage for roughly 1,5 hours. The spa was actually my favorite part. It made our stay worth it. We spent hours in the swimming pool instead of the beach as Kuta beach isn't my kind of beach. Ramada is basically located in Kuta Beach, so you just need to walk for 1 or two minutes to find the beach. So Ramada is recommended.

This was my second stay at this resort. However, this time I took my 5 month pregnant daughter instead of my husband. As there are a lot of stairs I asked if we could have a room located on the ground floor as she wasn't up to climbing. They were very accommodating and gave us a quiet room on the ground floor near the pool. The only drawback is the buffet breakfast is very limited and the pool restaurant is over priced for the quality. The deck to watch the sunsets was magnificant. The toilet in the bathroom "backed up" and it took the maintenance men 2 days to fix - not good for morning sickness. This hotel is hard to rate as it has some good points and some average important points (staff ok, stairs bad, location good)

Room Tip: Ask for the ground floor

Really enjoyed my stay here as the staff were so friendly and helpful! Looked forward to breakfast everyday because the staff were always doing that little bit extra and the food was amazing! The restaurant staff were really well trained, professional and had really good English! Overall great place to stay and we will defiantly stay there again :)
