Set in an oasis of green, just off Jl. 66 is the delightful Bali Pearl French Restaurant. We enjoyed everything about our meal, from the romantic garden setting, to the attentive and knowledgeable staff. And of course the food was amazing! We started with the entree tasting plate, which allowed us to sample the range of starters. My favourite was the ravioli stuffed with eggplant caviar, goat cheese and thyme sauce and my friend loved the lobster bisque. For main I had the duck breast, which was melt-in-the-mouth tender with a tangy but not overpowering sauce. My friend enjoyed the grilled scallops wrapped in Parma ham with asparagus mousse. The dessert tasting plate was ideal for those who can't make their minds up when it comes to dessert, and the focus was on chocolate (what's not to love?). My only concern was that the strawberry daiquiri was a bit small (so I had to have two), but other than that everything was perfection itself. Jeremy and the team at Bali Pearl are to be congratulated on creating such an exceptional restaurant. I can’t wait to return to Bali so that I can try more of the exciting menu.
