Very happy to recommend this restaurant when visiting Bali. We went there based on the reviews of other contributors and a 4.5 star rating overall. We were not disappointed. We didn't have a reservation so probably lucky to get in.
The staff were great. Very friendly and accommodating. They think of everything down to insect repellant as the restaurant is mainly open air. What was great was that where we originally sat, the mosquitoes were pretty thick so we asked if we could move inside. No problem at all so a very comfortable and relaxed setting for us.
On to the food and wine. Had a great meal and the staff very helpful with choosing the best wine to go with it (even to the point of allowing us to try some before ordering a bottle however, be aware this can only be done with the wines they have available by the glass). I had the beef fillet which was cooked perfectly (rare for me) and my wife the lamb shanks (done a little differently but very nice). The desserts were really great (yes, we ended up eating too much but it was worth it). What I loved was the great presentation of the dishes. I could see a lot care went into this which made the meals even more appealing. The head chef even came out to ask how we liked our meals. You don't see that happen too often.
Definitely worth a visit.
