“Why go anywhere else??”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2010

We have been regular customers of Wali Warung for the past few years. The food is always of the highest standard, the kitchen spotless and the staff outstanding. We return there every time we are in Bali on a daily basis. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack (ask my kids!)

“Great food here, indonesian and western”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2010

Ate here with a group of 8 people and returned a number of times. The indonesian food was great - as verified by some indonesian friends on our table. The chicken schnitzel and cordon bleu was also fantastic. The big beers were served with a stubbie holder which kept them cool while we drank, The food took a long time to come out, maybe because we were in a group - but it was about an hour. The owner came out and apologised, and said this was because they made every dish from scratch rather than pre preparing which caused the extra time. When we returned for breakfast and takeaway it was more reasonable timing. Everyone loved their meal, and we will be sure to return here!

“Better choices around”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2010

If you want a bevy of attractive waitresses to fawn on you – and let’s face it, guys, who doesn’t – you will love this place, but alas the food didn’t live up to the hype. We had crab in chilli and oyster sauce, and pork sate. For 70K (++) you get one mid-size crab, which was tasty if a little short on meat, but the sauce was insipid and the accompanying vegetables suburban. The pork sate was well cooked, but the peanut sauce nothing special. All in all, the food was fine but not outstanding or great value.

“great staff, really good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2010

luckily we booked this one, even then we had to wait. Probably only seats about 36 pax. Just behind the Niksoma, and I am sure it does well from the resorts that surround it. Really good Balinese / Indonesian dishes, very well priced, and smiling happy staff. Its been around for a while, and in my Warung category, its right up there. Kitchen is open to the seating so you can see whats being prepared.
Delicious!

“we moved hotel to be closer to this restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2010

I decided to eat here after reading such glowing reviews on this website. We were staying on the same street so it was fairly convenient but after a few days eating here we relocated ourselves to stay at the Bali Coconut Hotel so that we could have good food at our doorstep! The food here is really inexpensive and delicious and Wali is such a nice guy. i also appreciated that their service was faster and more efficient than anywhere we had eaten in Bali previous to finding Wali Warung.
I thought that their Greek salads were the best value in all of Bali. Lots of feta, olives and other ingredients which most places in Bali were very stingy with. The banana juice was also very refreshing and tasty, not to mention a great price. I tried a few of their traditional dishes which were very delicious but I found myself eating alot of their european style items like hamburgers etc. which were just sooooooo good!!
