“Best Seafood Platter in Bali!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2009

My partner and I spent 4 nights in Bali recently and ate at Wali Warung 3 times! It is located just behind the Niksoma Hotel in Legian. The staff are so friendly and owners are really lovely people.

We had nasi goreng for first meal and decided to get a massage next door while we waited for food - they bought our meals in next door in take away containers for us without a problem. Have to say it was the best Nasi Gorgeng I can remember having in Bali and I have had a lot!

We then had dinner there the following night and saw some people on table next to us having an amazing seafood platter - we asked if we could get one the next day on teh way to airport on way home. Not a problem at all - we said we wanted mussels, prawns, fish and squid.

When we arrived next day - we were presented with the most amazing seafood platter and it was massive! Costing about $20 (AUD) Unfortunately we ran out of time and couldn't finish it so we asked them to put into box to take to airprot and we finished it off while waiting for our flight - there were lots of jealous people at the airport smelling our divine seafood platter!!

The food was amazing, very clean, great service, good location and cold beer.

We have already said we are going back again next year - and ordering another seafood platter! A definate must for any seafood lovers! Just make sure you book the day before if you want seafood platter!

“good food, good prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2009

We ate here just once at the end of our stay and wish we had found it sooner. Friendly staff
We shared a mixed seafood plate and a ceasar salad, one lemon drink and one water. We finished with two excellent iced coffees. Cost $14 Australian. It is just behind the Niksoma hotel in a relatively quiet spot for Legian

“Wali Warung No.1 Restaurant in Legian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2009

My husband and I holidayed in Bali February 2009. Whilst staying at the Puri Raja hotel the guests were talking about this fantastic restaurant called Wali Warung (just around the corner from the hotel turn left & around the corner and then down the alleyway with 3 other Warung's) . The exact address is Jl Padma Utara No.16 just behind the Niksoma Hotel or check out their website www.waliwarung.com. We ate there nearly everyday for lunch or dinner. The food is fantastic and the service is very friendly. We met so many tourists while we were there and sent them to check out Wali's and they too kept going back. Wayan and Lisa the owner/managers are the best and make you feel like one of the family. Wayan and Lisa speak excellant englis. They will cater for any requests even if it's not on the menu like duck or seafood platters. Have a look at the pics on the website (our yummy dinner they made for our special occassion). Do not leave Bali without eating at Wali's, Legian's No 1 restaurant. We will defiantely be back, can't wait.
