Description: Purposely located off the beaten paths of nearby Oberoi and Kerobokan streets, SCRATCH is a new restaurant serving up "homecooked, like your momma did it, Sunday dinner, comfort food". SCRATCH is a needle in the haystack (or rice field in this case), located on a quiet street only five minutes away from Seminyak Square. SCRATCH is smoke-free and air conditioned with an outside patio for smoking and hanging out. It's got a relaxed atmosphere and hip decor, as the walls are lined with vibrant concert posters from bands like Cake, Arcade Fire and Neil Young, and more than likely you'll be hearing similar bands over the speakers. The menu is equally inviting, and can best be described as gourmet comfort food. But clearly the Canadian chef/owner (conveniently nicknamed Moose) won't settle for "mom's recipes", as it is obvious he enjoys putting a unique twist on most of his dishes. Signature steaks, rustic pastas, tapas, American classics, Asian favourites, and great specials during Happy Hour (8pm-10pm)...And you can wash it all down with a mango martini or a frosty mug of beer. So, if you've got an itch...Come and SCRATCH it!! NOTE: The map provided by Trip Advisor has us pinned in the wrong location. So, please call us for directions, or just jump in a taxi and tell them "Scratch restaurant, Jalan Pengubengan Kauh, next to Pengubengan Banjar". Thanks, and hope to see you here soon.

“Amazing meals coupled with a wonderful host = superb last night experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2015

We were a party of 6 and a half (one bambino) when we headed to Scratch in Kerobokan for our last meal in Bali. Loved the 'novelty' of the Canadian style menu - who doesn't want a buttered popcorn puree as part of their main meal! The pick of the table seemed to be the Philly Cheese Steak Poutine (comfort food at its best) but all meals were silly good (as Aaron, the owner, would say). The staff were lovely and so very accomodating. It was also wonderful to have the owner/chef, Aaron, at the restaurant. Two of our best meals in the Bali had this in common and it seems to be a winner. Thank you for having us, we'd only wished it hadn't had been our last night so we could have come again.

“Fabulous place to dine and drink in Kerobokan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2015

This is long overdue. My husband and I have been coming here for 2 years now - almost and we are never disappointed. Food is fantastic, drinks ,especially the classic martinis, are wonderful and the staff and owner are lovely. We love food and live in Bali so have had the opportunity to dine at some other fabulous establishments. This is one of them for us and prices are reasonable. Would highly recommend!! Some favorites are the burger- just straight up goodness, seafood platter, Sri's rendang ( new on the menu), and the steak tacos. Worth a try indeed!! Ps good job on the tunes:)

“Fantastic new soup, salad and sarnie lunch menu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2015

We were passing by and, intrigued by the smart, clean, look of the place, and the fact that they had parking spaces, we pulled in. The new lunch menu offering combinations of soups, salads and sandwiches at great value looked like the way to go and it was terrific. Good music, top wifi, lovely staff. We don't live in the area but we will be back. On the evidence of this first visit, it will be well-worth the trip.

“Steaks and drinks to die for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2015

I love food, but this is the first time I've had a main course so good that I ordered another one as soon as I'd finished and ate it again. The grilled tenderloin steaks are awesome, so are the cocktails (my wife and I tried four of them). The desserts didn't stand out, but that just leaves more room for steak. And the service was welcoming and swift. We'll be back - soon.

“Not #1 for nothing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2015

After we saw all the raving reviews on TA we thought to give this place a go for lunch, we were not disappointed, well deserved there ranking.
The Steak Tacos and Salmon were truly outsanding, the chef/owner made sure we were all happy with our meals. Very clean as well, a bit of the main tourist track but very worth a visit.
Dessert was delicious as well the chocolate fudge brownie with crunchyPeanut Ice cream all home made.Very reasonable priced, any very attentive floor staff.
Can only highly recommend......
