Description: Slippery Stone is a relaxing casual eatery. The open kitchen and bar created a unique feeling of warmth and hospitality. A Balinese feel is presence due to breathtaking rice-paddy views, and the local farmers going about their day-to-day business. Our overall aim is to be accessible to everyone, a local haunt that people can afford to visit 2 or 3 nights a week.Philosophy Our passion is to deliver a truly unique experience, which is completely removed from the everyday. Whether it is the incredible food, with its exploration of the harmonies of flavors and its incredible beauty on the plate, or our staffs, whose sole aim is to create for you a seamless unique experience and capture the essence of our true hospitality. AmbianceThe airy space is large, with comfortable cushioned bench style seats as well as sofas, and the typical table placements, in a rice field setting so typically Balinese, around a pond water feature.

“Fantastic service and the best steak in Bali!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

My husband and I visited many fine dining restaurants when in Bali and we both agree this was by far the best! Unpretentious but attentive service and the best steak in Bali! A must for couples or families when in Bali! We will definitely be back!

“Best in Bali”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

We had seen a review of this before we got here and wanted to check it out. This was our best meal this trip by far and this includes meals at Sarong and La Looch.

The menu does appear to be a bit haphazard with Asian tapas, pizzas and steaks all featuring. We stuck with the tapas style dishes and weren't disappointed. We shared the Peking Duck (delicious), Babi Guling, Waygu carpaccio, soft shell crab fritters and an Asian green salad. Finished with 2 excellent desserts.

The only thing missing was other patrons. Whilst it meant we got fantastic service, it would be good (and deserving) to have this place brimming with guests.

Dear Mr. Arowell72,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent visit at Slippery Stone with other travelers on Tripadvisor.

We are delighted to hear that thanks to reviews you read you came to our restaurant and that you enjoyed your evening with us.

Indeed, we are not that popular for the moment due to so many dining options in Seminyak and south bali for the guests who comes on holidays.

Thanks to your reviews and other reviews from previous guest, we will for sure get popular and notoriety in the dining scene in bali.

Once again thank you for your kind feedback and we hope to welcome you back here in Batu Belig.

“Quiet retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

A lovely feel, but sadly we were the only guest for at least an hour. We enjoyed all our meals, we shared the pork belly, Peking duck and a yummy simple thin salami pizza, nice cold beer. The chilli, champagne cocktail was fun, although mine didn't light up...too windy. The staff are cute, but are bored so hang around a bit.. But I suppose if they weren't available each time we needed another cold beer, we wouldn't be happy...the food was presented beautifully.. Thanks and see you next year.

“Great service and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We went to slippery stone not really knowing what kind of place it was. But what a great surprise. The food was great but the service was amazing. Great attention to detail to make sure we had a great dining experience. The restaurant setting is very nice with great views and it is a nice combination of bar chill out place and fine dining... As we have a villa in the neighborhood we will definitely be back many times...
