“Amazing (for the price)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2012

It was a little slow when we arrived so they upgraded us to a larger unit for free...everything was incredible. Yes, there were a few signs of it being aged, but nothing that impacted our stay...other than I wish our shower head was more powerful. The calcium deposits were clogging up most the holes in it. I would also recommend going with an outside tour company. We used both a hotel tour and a tour we booked outside the hotel. The hotel tour was more expensive and the driver wasn't quite sure of himself and/or what to do. We felt much of the time was wasted. But regardless, I would still 100% stay here again.

Family of 6 = 2 adults 4 children aged 17,14,12,9 this was to be our long awaited holiday 18 days of bliss !!! (17 years of waiting + saving) We were very let down at the state of our villa
#15 it needs a good over haul the whole place seems to be falling apart the room was very smelly like it had been locked up for years (my husband said it smelt like dirty nappy's) The shower looked like it had not been cleaned the sheets and towels yellow or grey and they make the bed but don't change the sheets we had to request them done after day 10 it was getting too much. Bottled water is in the bathroom lucky to get that every 3rd day have to ask for toilet paper (1 roll x 6 people really!!) the kitchen bar fridge,no kettle, glass top bench just placed there + slide off (head high for kids) and breakfast (eat out) GOOD POINTS its quiet,The staff are lovely people and the little shack at the end of the drive has great food (saved us) we wanted to leave but 3 bedrooms at xmas time we couldn't find any vacancy's on short notice Definately not for elderly or young child FAR TOO RUN DOWN and well over priced for what you get !! they wont see us again .....

Room Tip: Better hotels in Bali and cheaper too

Bidadari Villa is one of our favorite villas to stay in whenever we go to Bali. We basically like it because it's tested, quiet, peaceful and we can spend a relaxing day within the confines of our villa walls and swim at leisure whenever the heart desires. We spent restful days on the gazebo attached to the pool reading and watching little birds share the cool waters of our pool to take a bath. This time we noticed that the Spa had a new management. My husband and I treated ourselves to several excellent massages that did not break our wallet. Food on the other hand though has room for improvement in comparison to our last visit there. The staff in the villa were truly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Don't be surprised to see the General Manager Mr. I Made in person walking around the property to check it to make sure everything is in perfect order. We also thank Ms Purnami for her excellent work of adjusting and honoring our dates and changes in travel plans despite arriving during the peak Chinese New Year period. Thank you also to all the wonderful staff at Bidadari. Lastly,We enjoyed a wonderful Candle Light Dinner on our last night. So, If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway then this is the place for you.

We just left it with an average feeling...nice welcome and pick-up from the airport.
On the first evening, I asked to have dinner in the restaurant and the waiter looked surprised at me...and said "in room dining as it's too hot upstairs", so we did...we never saw it open.

The rooms is OK, although the garden has only a gazebo and no laying chairs to enjoy the sun in your garden...we went to the Potato Head beach club during the day (nice place by the way !). Another problem was that there was a heavy smell of urine in the toilet which never disapeared. And last, we had to begg for our bedsheets to be changed after three nights, a few spots from dead mosquitoes being on the cushions did not bother them...

Wi-fi only available in the lobby or restaurant, not in rooms...

Plus point was some friendly staff and the Full Moon Wanghu next door providing top food for around 120 000 IRP !!!

We were due to stay here for 4 nights but after viewing the villa we decided not to stay. The whole place is dated and in need of a bit of a re-vamp. We found the layout of the villa's odd - the garden is dominated by a huge gazebo which leaves you with no space to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The pool is very narrow, and appeared that it would only get sunshine for a couple of hours a day due to shade created from surrounding buildings.

Also, we had made our booking via laterooms and paid a higher price for each night so that they would not deduct our money straight away and with the option that the room was refundable. Despite this they deducted the money for the 4 nights before we arrived and charged us for the first night despite it being unsuitable and very different to the pictures that were shown on the website.

The villa was OK-ish but having stayed in bali before I know of SO many better places to stay in the same area in the same price range. We moved to a villa a few hundred metres up the road and loved it. With only a few days to enjoy Bali we really weren't prepared to stay somewhere so mediocre and just plain odd...I strongly urge you to look around.

We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want to leave (seriously did not want to leave). We arrived very late in the night and the hotel arranged for their driver to pick us up at the airport. The villas were hugh (bigger than our appartment here in Sydney) very private and extremely clean and very very romantic. The villas are so private you don't have to put clothes on as long as you are in your villa. Very good value for money - we paid approx $160 per night. The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast and again in the afternoon when we got back to our villa in the evening the bed was turned down and the pool lights etc turned on. The only negitive experience was the spa. The girls were absolutely lovely and did their best - my partner and I had a massage, facial I had the manicure and he had a pedicure - he thought it was great as it was his first such experience ;-) but I wouldn't really recommend the spa. The villas are a short distance from the shops and restaurant and beach but the driver at the villa will take you there and to get a taxi home costs about $3 or $4 - we always left a tip and all up will cost about $10. I note a lot of people commented on the breakfast but it was fine and the service was excellent. The bed at the villas are so comfortable too. it's very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The pool at the villa is a lovely size and we just loved getting into it when we got back to in villa in the evening after a day of shopping, and sipping cocktails on the beach! It certainly was a lovely way to cool down and relax. Also we hired a driver at the villa to take us around for the day up to ubud and to the money santuary to the shopping market area and that was wonderful. So all in all 5* from us we loved it and would have no hesitation about staying there again. Can't speak highly enough of it. Also, my partner wasn't too keen on going to Bali (never on his to do list) and he's still raving about it absolutely loved it.
